How Does the 2013 Lincoln MKZ Compare to Other Sedan?
The 2013 Lincoln MKZ competed with vehicles like the Lexus ES, Acura TLX, Cadillac ATS, and Buick LaCrosse. In terms of performance, the MKZ's V6 engine offered comparable power to its rivals, but its handling wasn't as sporty as the ATS. The Lexus ES generally offered better reliability, while the Acura TLX provided a more engaging driving experience.
Feature-wise, the MKZ had competitive technology, but the MyLincoln Touch system was a known weak point compared to the infotainment systems in Lexus and Acura models. Pricewise, the MKZ was often positioned competitively, but used prices can vary widely.
Alternatives to the 2013 MKZ include the Lexus ES 350 for superior reliability and a comfortable ride, the Acura TLX for a balance of sportiness and luxury, and the Buick LaCrosse for a more traditional American luxury experience. If reliability is a top priority, the Lexus ES is a better choice. If a sportier driving experience is desired, the Acura TLX is recommended.

Final Verdict: Is the 2013 Lincoln MKZ a Good Sedan?
The 2013 Lincoln MKZ is ideal for buyers seeking a comfortable and stylish mid-size luxury sedan at a reasonable price point on the used market. It's worth buying if you prioritize comfort and unique styling over outright performance and have carefully inspected the vehicle for potential issues, especially with the infotainment system. Opting for a well-maintained, lower-mileage example is crucial. A pre-purchase inspection by a trusted mechanic is highly recommended. The hybrid model is suitable for those prioritizing fuel economy. The MKZ Reserve trim offers the most features, but a base or Premiere trim in good condition can provide excellent value.
