I bought this car used and I can't afford to keep it on the road. Most of my family members have owned VW's during their life, but this is the last one I will ever own. 9 months after I owned the car I noticed the rear wheels were bent inward. The rear carrier (axle) was bent and after fighting with VW HQ and the dealer, the service mgr. told me it could happen going over a speed bump or hitting a pothole. I live in NC so potholes are rare and I crawl over speed bumps. That was a $2k expense and now I had to have a thermostat replaced for about another $500. This car is a piece of debris. What a disaster.

I have a Wagon, it is fun to drive with lots of high end power. This car sticks to the road. The back seat is a little tight for 2 adults but not all that bad for kids. It is a great run around town car, with plenty of cargo room. I have had no problems with this car. I love the VW keys. Not a bad second car to have.

My Part Time LoverBetween the heated seats for the winter and the perfect sunroof for the summer - this has been the best car to have for a little while. We wound up with this as an extra vehicle so it's time to let the Jetta find a new owner and send it on new adventures. It's been great for a jaunt to the beach, haul a bunch of groceries, and take the coworkers out for a bite. I will miss this car, but it's new owner is going to love it! 🙂

One of the best all-rounder cars out thereLast of the German made Jetta's. The quality was never the same after they started assembly in Mexico. This car is solid, very comfortable and excellent on diesel. I get roughly 40-50 mpg all depending on how it's driven. The key is keeping up on maintenance and 5-6k oil changes.

Very reliableVery comfortable even for 6'+. Reliable and fuel efficient. Even after 13 years of salty winters there is not a spec of rust. Minor electrical problems but overall awesome car especially for commuting.
