The Good
The 2010 VW CC offered a blend of sporty performance and refined comfort. Its sleek design appealed emotionally, while the fuel efficiency of the 2.0T engine made it a practical choice. The CC delivered a comfortable ride and decent handling. The VR6 engine provides robust power. Its initial lower price compared to other luxury coupes made it a good value.
The Bad
Potential weaknesses of the 2010 VW CC include timing chain issues on the 2.0T engine, especially if maintenance was neglected. Carbon buildup on the intake valves is also a common problem. Some owners have reported issues with the electrical system and premature wear of suspension components. The rear seating is less spacious due to the sloping roofline.

What Technology & Safety Features are Included?
Driver-assistance features were limited compared to modern vehicles, but the CC did offer electronic stability control, anti-lock brakes, and traction control. Safety features included front and side airbags, as well as side curtain airbags for both front and rear occupants. Optional features like bi-xenon headlights with adaptive front lighting were available to enhance visibility.
Crash-test ratings from the IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) and NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) should be consulted for specific scores. Generally, the 2010 CC performed well in crash tests, providing adequate protection for occupants. How Does the 2010 Volkswagen CC Compare to Other Sedan?
Price-wise, the CC offered a good value proposition when new, but its depreciation makes it less of a clear winner on the used market. Similar alternatives to consider include the Acura TSX, which offers better reliability and a more refined driving experience, or a Lexus IS, known for its luxurious interior and smooth ride. If performance is a priority, the Infiniti G37 is a strong contender. For buyers prioritizing reliability and lower running costs, the Acura or Lexus are better choices. A newer Mazda6 might also be worth considering for a similar stylish sedan with more modern features.

I bought a 2010 Volkswagen CC in 2016; Firstly, I'mI bought a 2010 Volkswagen CC in 2016; Firstly, I'm obsessed with the black & cream interior/body style. 1st issue I had was both front windows kept getting stuck. Next there was a recall because upon deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, excessive internal pressure caused the inflator to explode. Next the check engine light kept coming on after having my car serviced, I was told it had electrical issues. In February 2022, I start having issues later that year the engine completely FAILED!! It is a very beautiful car but DO NOT BUY this car!! it will stop in the middle of driving!!! Yes, Volkswagen has mastered the art of making beautiful car interiors, but it ends there, they are also well awre the 2010 is prone to ENGINE FAILURE, becuase when I called to Volkswagen to lodge my complaint the customer service department hung up on me, they are horrible car company and will not take accountability and do right by its consumers, very disappointed needless to say.

Awesome 2010 Volkswagen CCPurchase the 2010 Volkswagen CC in 2010. As of 2022 I'm still driving my beautiful car. I always had maintenance done as the manual suggests. There was often an issue with replacing the brake light bulbs.

$12000 repairs on$9500 carI purchased my 2010 CC a little over a year ago. It had 67000 miles on it and was in pristine visual condition. Big expenses were 1) rear door controller $900. Bad PCV which blew out the main bearing seal and ruined my clutch $3000. Timing chain slip which resulted in cylinder head ruined along with valves. $7500. Replaced the plastic water pump at same time for an additional $1000. Come to find out ALL these issues were known issues by VW but they do NOT cover any of them under recall, etc. I've only put ~10,000 miles on this car and it's already cost me over $12000. What's next!!!??? :-O
