Small and simple great first car 👍 not super reliable like a Honda but still seems really reliable, I bought mine for $2,800 2 years ago still running extremely well today with 160,000 miles. Small engine and easy to repair, only real repair I've had to do on it is a water pump, expect a cheap economy car if you take good care of it then it will treat you right.

I've had this vehicle for almost 2 years now and it has only been issues from the start. I had installed fresh brakes when purchasing it because they weren't very keen. Absolutely terrible in winter, as I knew it was front wheel drive however it is so light that it doesn't stay put. Every 3 months I have had to change the spark plugs because it has been in and out of the shop since I got it. I was told it's basic maintenance but it's lies. I have then had to replace the belts, starter, battery, spark plugs, and fuel pump just for bandaids on this vehicle. Do not waste time and money on this vehicle as I have put more into it than I've gotten out of it.

I bought mine with 30K miles 4 years ago and it now has 87K miles. Have had to fix so many things, terrible reliability. Perhaps it's that it was used seemingly infrequently (idle cars are the devil's playground) in upstate NY (very rusty from the winter salt). I love the way she handles, has plenty of power considering the considerable gas mileage, and is fairly easy to work on (I done all my own work, from the timing belt to the entire suspension to fuel injectors and water pump and on and on). Shortly after I got it it developed a loud knocking to the engine when started until it warms up, but after almost 60K miles it's still there and still running so who knows. I want to love this car, but I've put so much time and money into it and it has relatively low milage.

I bought my 2010 Hyundai Accent sedan last year (2022) and don't regret it one bit. I bought this car because I wanted something cheap for going too and from work and school. In the year I've owned this car I haven't had a single issue with it and have put about 20,000kms on it. I'm six feet tall and feel quite comfortable in this car as it has comfortable seats and big windows. the interior has good storage with NINE cupholders and the trunk is quite a decent size. The A/C and heat are good and I like the factory command start during the cold months. It's also amazing on gas around town but still keeps up with traffic easily. The only thing I could possibly complain about with this car is the highway driving. The wind does push it around quite a bit on a windy day and it doesn't get incredibly good gas milage on long trips. That being said, it has surprisingly good passing power. One thing I will say is if you live in a winter climate with this car you absolutely need winter tires. I got studded winter tires for mine and it didn't get stuck once last winter (our winters can be pretty harsh in Saskatchewan). All in all I'm very happy with this car and will be keeping it for the foreseeable future.

I bought it used for about $4800 with 79k miles. There was nothing wrong with the car, it was a trade in. The manual transmission is pretty much rock solid, great clutch feel. But, first gear can be bucky in city driving, and my reverse seems to be a bit whiny. I think this car performs well for what it is. It can go as fast as you need on the highway, but it does require a bit of throttle feathering as it decelerates without it. This results in worse mileage on the highway than city. I really like the AC. But i think it will get pretty hot in the cabin during summer. The windows are pretty much un-tinted and they are bulbous. It's a weak spot for exterior design. I took out the rear seats and made a full sized bay with some MDF. This allows the car to function more like a transit connect- mine even came with a hitch, but I'll only use that for bikes. I really like the simplistic layout, but it loses interior points for being hard to see the cabin during night drives. I added some magnetic LED ambient lighting and that helps a lot. While this is an older econo car, I think it's a safe bet as a first car, or an A-B car. You might actually enjoy yourself driving it around. Better than the GDI engines and CVT transmissions of Hyundai after 2013, I think.

I bought my 2010 Hyundai Accent in 2016; for a wonderful.price. This car was able to fit five adults comfortably when needed. The car was fabulous on gas especially when I needed to go 149 miles once a week. The car had to be able to climb hills as I live in the country roads in Maine. The interior was nice and I love the exterior of the car. A very adorable car and held lots of groceries. The grandkids car seats fit in the back seat well and the trunk held a lot of backpacks and luggage. A lovely car that did a lot for me and my family. If I could have another Hyundai Accent I would do it over again. Definitely my most favorite cars ever. My Hyundai got in an accident when a huge truck bumped into me before I could take a right. The drivers door received the brunt of the accident but I was safe. I never got injured and only replacement was the door. The car lasted 13 more months after the accident. June 2022 the little car was tired and had a lot of things going wrong. We had to make the tough decision to salvage the car. The accident made the car a salvaged car but it still managed to go another 13 months helping me get to work and to visit my grandkids. I will miss this car very much. I highly recommend the Hyundai Accent 💕

We bought it as second car, we own a Nissan Maxima 2000 v6 engine but I prefer to drive Hyundai accent. Very reliable, easy to fix and the coil is the only problem they got cuz am an automobile mechanic and I know a lot about Hyundai cars...

I love my lil hyundai accent ls. I keep regular maintenance on it and it's real reliable. 135,000 miles. Cool little car. It's worth it.

Bought this as a second car to commute into the city 11 years ago. Great gas mileage if you don't push it too hard. Get the 5 speed it's smooth as butter. Had issues with the OEM coils and recently had to replace the front sway bar links. Considering this sucker has over 200 000km (125 000 miles) I'd say this car was worth every penny.

most RELIABLE engine 278,000. miles and still running perfect the only major part that i had to change the manual transmission it LSTED 216,000, the origina one!!!!
