2002 Chrysler 300M Overview, Reviews, Ratings & Specs

I've owned this car for nearly three years as a work car, for long-distance trips, and for other basic needs. The exterior style still looks sharp almost 20 years later and Chrysler did a great job designing this car both inside and out. Besides the transmission needing a rebuild at 114k, the car has been reliable, especially in the cold winter months here in MN. The 3.5 HO engine has plenty of horsepower for the size of the car and can pass with ease. Seats are extremely comfortable with plenty of leg-room, cushion, and back support for long drives. Passengers have always complimented the car on its spaciousness and comfort in the rear cabin. The "Special" trim lowers the vehicle with an added body kit, and bigger tires/rims, and can make it difficult for some to enter and exit. Another issue with the lowered clearance I've had is scraping the bumper over driveways and other entrances that most other cars would have no problem with. Overall, I'm happy I purchased this car and think it's a great value for anyone looking for a low price, reliable, and comfortable form of transportation.

This car runs great and is exceptionally clean, no rust anywhere. Great deal for first car or winter driving, never been in an accident and we?ll maintained.

The car is all we could ask for, great power, great ride, good mileage, and looks great. We've bought 2 300M's with very low mileage, and probably saved $25,000.00 per car over new car prices. Our last car had 16,787 miles when we bought and this most recent one only had 14,925 miles on it when we bought it.

The car came from my uncles friend terry who mistreats car terribly even so I drove it 20 miles to work and back every day. I highly recommend.

This was my first car that ive owned. I bought it used with about 120,000 miles on it, which is a lot. However, I was expecting it to last me longer than a year and a half. Within the first month the transmission busted on me and I got it replaced with no charge. Then it would have issues with starting and the problem was the battery. The battery is placed in the most horrible place and it is extremely hard to get to. If you have one and need to replace the battery, look it up on youtube. The beginning of this year the transmission went out on me for the second time so I gave up on the car and moved on to another. It was a fun ride and great car other than that. If you need a used first car I would recommend but don't think your gonna get much life out of it.

I have to say that Ive always been a Cadillac guy needed a cheap used car came across this 15 yr old mint 300m all bells and whistles inside and out the Cherry on top one owner before me treated it like it was his baby and only 80,000 miles honestly I'm so glad that I got lucky that I actually and honestly love driving MY 15YR OLD 300m more than my 2017 Jeep Cherokee just had to leave this post

This car is very comfortable for long distance trips. Even with 100,000+ miles on the highway I get 20+ mpg The all wheel drive is a plus living in KS with snow, ice, & black ice especially when I live at the bottom of a pretty steep hill

Vehicle needed brakes and rotors. Also the exhaust had a leak in it. My original 300M Special I loved it. I wish that I didn't have to let it go.

First let me say that I bought a 300M Special. Which is a different car than the regular 300M in many ways. A higher output engine, Z-rated high performanse tires, dual exhaust, autostick transmission, and a much better grade of leather then Chrysler usually uses are just some of the differences. When my mechanic was replacing the front end suspension components, he was stunned by the size of the sway bar on this car, saying he'd only ever seen one that big on a Mustang Cobra. And most of the Specials ever built were exported to Europe to kick the snot out of bmw and audi. Only 8,000 a year were vailable in the States. And all of these things show when you own one. Fast, smooth, luxurious, and handles like no other American car from the last decade. At 13 years old it still turns heads in parking lots and garages. I recently averaged 28.1 mpg on a drive from Louisville to St Louis at an average speed of around 78 mph. If you can find one, buy it. You'll never look back.

This car was bought brand new off the lot. I advised against the car originally I wanted my mother in a little bigger behicle. She died in 2006 and Im an only child so the car went to me. This car has NEVER been in the shop, great car, sporty I love the look of the car. Chrysler made a fine vehicle when they put these out! Of course this car has been well taken car of too oil changed regular, tires rotated, tune ups and garage kept. I would definately recommend this car!
