The Good
The 2015 Dodge Dart boasted a distinctive, sporty design (emotional appeal). Select models offered peppy performance, particularly the GT. It offered a comfortable ride and decent interior space (practical). The Dart also came with a range of tech features for its time, adding to its value proposition, especially on the used market.
The Bad
The 2015 Dodge Dart's weaknesses include reported issues with the 1.4L turbo engine (oil leaks, turbo failure). The transmission, particularly the dual-clutch automatic, can experience problems. Some owners reported electrical issues and general reliability concerns. Be sure to check for these before purchasing.

What Problems Does the 2015 Dodge Dart Have?
Recalls for the 2015 Dodge Dart have addressed issues such as potential loss of power steering assist, malfunctioning airbags, and fuel pump failures. Long-term reliability is a concern, particularly as the cars age. The DCT transmission, turbocharger, and electrical systems are potential weak points. Some model years, particularly earlier ones (2013-2014), experienced more issues, but the 2015 model still isn't immune. Thorough inspection and a pre-purchase inspection by a qualified mechanic are highly recommended.

How Does the 2015 Dodge Dart Compare to Other Sedan?
Price-wise, the Dart was often more affordable than its rivals, especially on the used market. However, considering the reliability concerns, alternatives like the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, and Mazda3 are often better choices. These offer superior reliability and resale value. If you prioritize sporty handling and a slightly lower price point, the Ford Focus (excluding the problematic DCT transmission) could be a similar alternative, but still carries some reliability risks. Ultimately, the Dart's attractive pricing might not outweigh its potential maintenance costs.

Final Verdict: Is the 2015 Dodge Dart a Good Sedan?

Our Dart has been great. Our Dart has been great. One thing it will needs a QT of oil every 1000 miles. We had low profile tires. Lots of problems. But I knew that when I bought the car. had to replace rims. Gas Mileage is 24 miles Combined. Spare tire was an option. I check that box. Need spare tire. Only real problem was air condition. Needed a hose it was under warranty.

It's okay but honestly it has a lot of oil issues. It's okay but honestly it has a lot of oil issues. The front is long and low to the ground so it's easy to not see things over it and scuff the bottom. Interior is fine. TPMS system if you run out of battery it's over a hundred dollars to replace even tho it isn't necessary. Once that battery runs out have fun w DING DING DIMG DING DING DING for the rest of your life. ALWAYS LEAKING OIL. Not very sporty either even tho it's “GT†it's basically a regular shmegular car.

Manufacture lug nuts “swollenâ€. 104k, driver side headlight fuse Melted 9 months after replacing headlights. 106k CV axle replaced wheel bearings not replaced. Rear dash cam constantly shorts out. Its been a great car for me!I bought a 2015 rallye with around 20k on it in december 2016. I still have it with 160k. So i have had plenty time behind the wheel of my car. I am a pretty tall guy and with the seat all the way back, it is actually a very comfortable ride. I used the car to uber, and ive driven from dc to charlotte multiple times. I have xm radio so I always get nice tunes, the sound system is pretty good but im not beating the ear drums off. I have reached its top speed (limited) and it didnt feel scary. Ive used the manual shift thing, its kinda fun. Ive never had an issue with much of anything on the car. I always love the taillight full bar illuminated, and the fog lights (which actually help in bad rain). Ive driven all four seasons and all conditions (obviously not driving in deep snow). The clearance is low so im extra careful on speed bumps. It does eat oil so i change it every 3k at walmart now for about $60. I used to change it myself as it is very simple, but I dont want to grease xxxxxx these days. Ive changed the battery once. Everything else has been basic maintenance. Thank the lord i havent had to change one single engine component. And the only code Ive rver seen was the parking light being out. The keys suck. They go bad and the trunk will errantly pop open when you leave the car. Keep backup keys programmed. I learned the hard way. The car itself gets compliments, i love the big screen, it is a bit dated by modern standards but i can control my music on the steering wheel. All my buttons work fine. It really has been a great car, and I realize im actually a “dodge†fan. I had a magnum in the late 2000s around the time they first came out. I dont leadfoot, but its got some pull power to shift into faster lanes. I generally dont drive faster than 70mph. I love my black interior. I really have no complaints.

Love my dartAll in all this car has not let me down. A couple of things though; the engine gets pretty hot still and I've done recommended procedures. What I've noticed that helps is using a thicker weight full synthetic oil and routine maintenence kept up with. The ac never has been all that great and is extremely loud. Other than that this vehicle is very dependable and has great gas mileage.

Reliable car.The car is great, good on gas mileage, handles like a heavier car, and it has easy access to radio and heat and A/C adjustments. The ONLY problem is the cylinder 4 misfire. I have had 3 THREE tuneups in under 100,000 miles.

Problem car, lemon, would not recommend!Had trouble with getting fob out switch. Would only go to acc. would not go to lock so you could remove fob. Had it to dealer a number of times and they could not figure it out , so I finally traded for a Subaru. Trunk would open any time, would just pop up. Had trouble with transmission. Only good thing, color, great mileage. Got 32 around town. a couple of times would not switch gears when starting out. It was a lemon. When first bought had recall 2 weeks after I purchased it, could not drive on trip because of safety issues.

It's a great car, just what I needed for the priceGreat performance, gas mileage and fun to drive. Love the sound system and Bluetooth hookup for phone and music. Has plenty of cargo and comfort.

Proud to own a DodgeFirst car purchase in 21 years, and wanted something similar but upgraded at the same time. Test drove and fell in love immediately. Car was taken very good care of before I purchased and I plan to do the same. Not too much car for me and I feel very safe and comfortable driving my Dart.
