Perfect starter car. Very reliable, will not need work. Only has superficial and very slight damage. It has new tires and is super reliable. The battery is also only six months old and should last a long while. It's not the most fancy, but gets the job done. Cons it smoky and a tape is stuck in the tape deck but I use the lighter for a Bluetooth plug in so it's no problem.

Our 2004 Hyundai Elantra was named Shelly by our daughter (at age7) when purchased in Dec 2004. With only 200 miles, she was brand new to me/us. Fast forward 13 years, Shelly is still working as good as the day purchased. She now has 175k+ miles. She may be old but I love her. Although others may even turn their noses up to the lack of technology in a now 13 year old car, she can still run with the best of them. She has been one the best purchases I have ever made. She has taken us daily to work, school, practices, games, beaches, and even the dreadful driving lesson when our little girl finally turned 16yo. The memories are endless. Never once has Shelly complain -seriously not once. We had to replaced one radiatior due to a bad tech during a routine oil change. Other than that all original pieces and parts have gone untouched. In 2017, I still drive Shelly daily confident she will take me anywhere I need to go. I can't say enough abt our Shelly except thank you to Hyundai for such a great car.

Ol' ReliableIs it pretty? No. Does it drive fast? No. Is it a chick magnet? Certainly not. But my 2004 Hyundai Elantra has excelled according to a criterion far more important than any of these others: reliability. Maintenance costs are low. Hardly ever needs a repair. Gets me from Point A to Point B on a regular basis. Isn't that what cars are supposed to do?

The best bang for your buck ... everThis car had 140K miles when we got it, it was already cheap, and we took it to 200K, just routine repairs: brakes, rotors, oil, replaced timing belt, replaced starter. This guy only needs gas and has been reliable.

Great car to drive. Wish I didn't have to sell itCar has always performed well, despite the normal maintenance I've needed to put into it. Engine solid. Transmission has no known issues. It's lasted 200,000 and all major systems still work great, with the exception of a few electrical glitches.

Awesome Little CarI did extensive research before buying this car. Many good things stood out. One of them is the car's absolutely wonderful reliability. Out of every review I have read, not one person said the car had any major issues. The same goes for mine! It goes. It sips gas. It has just enough room. It's not an ugly car. I might even say it looks nice. All it needs is basic maintenance and a little love. And it will keep on chugging. Easily past 250,000 miles. Mine is at 146,000 miles and still drives very well, with no costly engine or transmission issues, unlike some other car brands (*cough cough* gm, ford, even honda). It's an all-around good, A to B car that won't let you down.

value for moneyHyundai Elantra is handsome, comfortable, versatile, and fun to drive. Elantra comes with one of the most powerful standard engines in the subcompact class, and is among the quickest.

Most reliabe car I ownedRide very Smoove. it's great on gas have to be at least 25-30 miles on a gallon. Would be a perfect first car . Love the color and the interiors and exterior of the car. For a 2004 it runs like new . What a reliable carand at an even better price !!

Good commuter or student car. Good tires runs welGood commuter or student car. Good tires, runs well, timing belt changed at 120,000 miles. All other belts changed as well. New 5-year battery, engine air filter changed, oil change. In good shape.
