The Good
The 2011 Lancer offered sporty handling and an engaging driving experience (appealing to emotional buyers). It also provided a relatively affordable price point and decent fuel economy (attracting practical buyers). While not the most luxurious, its design was modern and the availability of all-wheel drive in some trims offered enhanced safety and capability.
The Bad
The 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer's weaknesses include a somewhat underwhelming interior with hard plastics, limited rear passenger space, and potentially higher maintenance costs compared to some competitors. Watch out for potential issues with the continuously variable transmission (CVT) in certain trims, as well as rust, especially in areas with harsh winters.

What Technology & Safety Features are Included?
Crash-test ratings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) should be researched based on the specific model year. While specifics can vary by year and testing methodology, generally the Lancer performed acceptably in frontal and side impact tests. Optional features beyond the higher-end sound system and navigation included things like Bluetooth connectivity (depending on the trim and package), upgraded interior trim, and exterior styling enhancements. It's worth noting that the tech offerings were not cutting-edge compared to some rivals.

How Does the 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer Compare to Other Sedan?
Alternatives to consider include the Mazda3 (better handling and interior), Honda Civic (superior reliability and resale value), and Hyundai Elantra (more features for the price). If sporty handling isn't a primary concern, the Toyota Corolla is a more practical and reliable choice. The Subaru Impreza also provides all-wheel drive, a key selling point that only the Lancer Ralliart offered in this segment at the time, but the Impreza may have a higher price point.

Great Car, buy it and drive it. Turn key car.2010 Lancer GTS 2.4 CVT. I changed spark plugs and coils, which gave it a lot more power. Does roughly 30 mpg even around town. 41k miles on it now and seems to run great. ABS ASC sensors do get dirty fairly quickly on these cars. Power wash inside of wheels every so often takes care of that problem. 61 yrs old and I love the car and enjoy driving it. I run the xxxx out of it!

Awesome & Reliable Daily DriverGreat first car, very comfortable and smooth. OK mileage, great AC system, not too quick but definitely not slow. Power windows, Bluetooth, easy to read gauges. Never had an issue with it, Mitsubishi makes great cars.

Super reliableStill runs perfectly and has never given me any trouble since I bought it new. Pretty zippy, low maintenance, decent gas mileage, big trunk, great for road trips, or around town.

It's a very nice car! It's a simple car to figure out. There are little bits a features found all around the car that make driving simpler and more fun. One gripe I do have is that the AUX plugin is AUX to RCA, it isn't hard to find it's just a bit odd. Good fuel economy especially when you're on the highway , up to 430 miles on a full tank of gas. Everyone I've run into loves the look of the car. Even though I'm 6' 2" I can still fit in the car and it's comfortable, Just the steering wheel doesn't come in and out it only goes up and down so it's harder to find a comfortable position for the steering wheel sometimes. People also say it's a pretty comfortable car even though legroom is a bit scarse in the back seats but it doesn't seem people are uncomfortable. 128,000 miles and still going strong.

Junk cRsHad the car for three years. Loved it at first but then noticed that it wasn?t a good as I thought. With 40 thousand miles on it the clutch went then again at 60 after that I put in a after market clutch and it was good again. With hundreds of horrible story on forums and pages of how thee car have shot clutches Mitsubishi did nothing to try and make it right. I spent countless hours on the phone just to be talked to like I was a xxxxxxx. The area manager for New England is a joke with horrible people skills. Finally after months of xxxxxxxx the service manager at Mitsubishi gave me 250 off my next service. Thanks I only just spent almost 4000 in six months on faulty xxxx. I would not recommend this car

7 yearsI have owned my 2011 Lancer for over 7 years now! Never had any major problems just a few recalls here and there. I had my transmission oil changed from a local machanic shop and transmission started over heating. I took my Lancer to the dealership to have it changed after that and haven't had the problem since and that was about 3 years ago. Dealership is pricy but I guess it is worth it in the long run. Also when I first purchased I had problems with the air conditioner but my warranty took care of that. Overall I have enjoyed my lancer. Performance could be a little better along with interior design which seems very cheap to me.

Great sporty sedanThe car drove great for may years, soft comfortable inside with paddle shifters and Automatic manual transmission, great gas mileage, reliable and roomy, the trunk was much bigger than expected and back seats drop to create even more room. highly recommend.
