The Good
The 2010 Hyundai Veracruz offers a smooth and capable V6 engine (performance) and a comfortable, quiet ride (comfort). Its refined interior and exterior design appeal to emotional buyers, while its strong reliability record and excellent value for the money attract practical buyers. Analysis
What Problems Does the 2010 Hyundai Veracruz Have?
Certain model years of the Veracruz (including 2010) have been subject to recalls, so it's crucial to check the vehicle's VIN with the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) to ensure all applicable recalls have been addressed. Common recall items have included potential issues with the fuel tank and wiring harnesses.
Long-term reliability concerns often revolve around the longevity of the transmission and the potential for increased maintenance costs as the vehicle ages. Rust can also be a factor in areas with harsh winters and road salt. Regular maintenance, including fluid changes and inspections, is crucial to mitigate these potential issues and prolong the vehicle's lifespan.
How long will the 2010 Hyundai Veracruz last?
Long-term durability weaknesses include potential transmission issues as mentioned earlier, and the wearing of suspension components. Rust can become a problem, especially in areas where roads are salted. Proper rust prevention measures are recommended. The interior trim may also show wear over time.
What Technology & Safety Features are Included?
Driver-assistance features were limited compared to modern vehicles, but included standard antilock brakes, stability control, and traction control. Safety features included front-seat side airbags and full-length side curtain airbags.
Crash-test ratings from the IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) and NHTSA were generally good for the 2010 Veracruz. It earned "Good" ratings in most IIHS crash tests. NHTSA ratings included four- and five-star ratings for various crash scenarios. It's important to consult official safety ratings for detailed information.
Optional features could include a power liftgate, memory seats, and upgraded interior trim. While not cutting-edge by today's standards, the Veracruz offered a solid suite of features for its price point in 2010.

How Does the 2010 Hyundai Veracruz Compare to Other Wagon?
Reliability is generally good, but the Toyota Highlander and Honda Pilot have historically had slightly better reliability reputations. The Nissan Murano offered a more stylish design but sacrificed some practicality. The Chevrolet Traverse provided more interior space, but its fuel economy and interior quality were generally considered inferior to the Veracruz.
Alternatives to the Veracruz include the Toyota Highlander (for reliability), Honda Pilot (for practicality and resale value), and Nissan Murano (for style). If reliability is a top priority, the Highlander or Pilot are better choices, albeit potentially at a higher price point on the used market. If styling is paramount, the Murano is a compelling option. The Veracruz remains a solid choice for buyers seeking a comfortable and well-equipped crossover at an affordable price.

Final Verdict: Is the 2010 Hyundai Veracruz a Good Wagon?
The Limited trim offers the most features, but a well-maintained SE trim can also be a good value. Avoid examples with a history of neglect or high mileage without documented maintenance. A pre-purchase inspection by a qualified mechanic is highly recommended before purchasing.

Never given me a problem in 11 yearsHave loved this car! Only negative has been with towing my boat. Amy trailer causes the back to ride too low and thus lifts the front tires up so there's not enough traction to pull boat out at the ramp.

Very user friendly, comfortable & highly reliableIt's easy on the eyes, and slightly aerodynamic, powerful and responsive for an SUV, relatively tight wheel base. I can maneuver very well in this car if I need to, even though it's a large vehicle. The seating is comfortable and adjustable, heated seats to boot and little added features, like a space at the bottom of the steering wheel for one-handed driving on long trips, and extended sun visors help a lot with the comfort of driving. EXCELLENT visibility. This car has NEVER failed to start in any weather, handles well, and is quiet. Only wish it could have a little better mileage.

2007 Vehilce has just reached 100,000 miles. StillThis is our 10th year of ownership. We have never owned a vehicle that maintained appearance and performance that comes close to matching our 2007 Vera Cuz limited model. plan to keep as a classic

Luv this car!Bought this car new, my second Hyundai. The few times I needed warranty service, it was handled well. Beautiful looking and performing car. Got 96,000 miles on it and can't find anything comparable so may just keep driving it. Looks and acts brand new!

Love this vehicle, wish they kept it going.I have the Veracruz Lim AWD. I have had this vehicle for almost 3 years now. My wife drives an average of 2700 miles a month. Toating the kids back and forth to sporting events. The vehicle now has 97000. I love all the gadgets that came with the vehicle. It has plenty of power to pass whenever you want. I don't understand why they quit making the vehicle. The only draw back is its MPG. I can only get 18.7 combined. and there was a problem with a sensor for the brakes. I have had up to 7 in the vehicle with the third row and it work well, even though it is hard to get in and out of the 3rd row. Please bring it back for the future.
