What Problems Does the 2010 Lexus GS 350 Have?
While the 2010 GS 350 generally enjoys a good reputation for reliability, potential buyers should check for any outstanding recalls. Recalls can be found on the NHTSA website using the vehicle's VIN. Long-term reliability concerns primarily revolve around the aforementioned issues, along with the typical wear and tear associated with aging vehicles, such as suspension components, brake systems, and potential sensor failures. Pre-purchase inspections by qualified mechanics are highly recommended to assess the overall condition and identify any potential problems before committing to a purchase. Routine maintenance, including timely oil changes and fluid checks, is crucial for mitigating long-term reliability concerns.

How Does the 2010 Lexus GS 350 Compare to Other Sedan?
Reliability is a strong suit for the Lexus, often surpassing the German competitors. The Acura TL offers similar reliability but lacks the rear-wheel drive experience and luxury feel of the GS. In terms of price, the GS 350 holds its value well, but used examples can be similarly priced to its rivals.
Alternatives to consider include the Acura TL for a more affordable and reliable option, or the BMW 535i/528i for a sportier driving experience. The Mercedes-Benz E350 offers a similar luxury experience with slightly more advanced features. If reliability is a top priority, the GS 350 is an excellent choice. If driving dynamics are paramount, the BMW might be preferred.

Final Verdict: Is the 2010 Lexus GS 350 a Good Sedan?

Nice car aside from the piston ringsThe looks of the Lexus GS and performance are fine and dandy however the piston rings in the engine have been know to have problems on these model cars. Even in the newer years it is prone to happen. My GS I used to own was a 2010 model and the thing burned over 6 quarts of oil in 2 thousand miles. Not normal. Be very careful if buying this car.

Dandy New BuggyI upgraded graded from a 2006. Same model, same color. Disappointed that there is no cubby for my sunglasses. Classic Style. No big gapping mouth front grill like the new models. I love it!!

Nice ride!Excellent car in all areas. It's just a very good all around driving car. Brakes are soft, so they take a little time to get used to.

great carI bought the car used for a good price and it only 19k miles on it. Performance is wonderful and the handling is quite fun for a car this size. Comfort is good but the quality of the interior is not as good as the Audi I just sold. There are some minor rattles especially near the sunroof which are bothersome. It is a great combination of creature comfort which is important to an older guy with aches and pains, but still fun enough to a guy young at heart.

LexusI bought a car from Bernardi through cars.com. They were great and got me a good deal on the car. My sales guy Fabio was great at following up and getting me the price I needed.

Sporty, stylish and fun to driveI was looking at 08 / 09 GS and got a great deal on a 2010 with only 27K miles. I drive 30K+ miles a year and keep my cars until they die and plan to do the same with this: it was 10 years since I last purchased a car. Got all the extras I wanted (except premium stereo): bluetooth, nav, sat radio, etc. Great car for someone who travels alone or in pairs: trunk space is not good for family travel. Love all the options, although some functions don't work while driving (for safety reasons), and this takes some getting used to but I wouldn't let that stop you from buying this car. Mileage is good, considering the 300hp and AWD, and now that gas prices are coming down, mileage is less of a concern. Headroom may be a concern if you are over 6'. I love the aggressive front end and the LED lights on the back. Great styling in and out. Very comfortable to drive and use the touchscreen.

Third LexuBack to Lexus from BMW. Really enjoyed driving the BMW but those darn seat belts, door locks and exterior touch door locks just finally irritated me back to my third Lexus. Not as much fun to drive but sure easier to get in and out of.
