The Good
The 2006 Endeavor offers a smooth, powerful V6 engine (performance) appealing to those seeking responsiveness. It boasts a comfortable ride (comfort) and a distinctive design (design). While not the most fuel-efficient (efficiency), its solid build (reliability) and lower used prices (value) make it appealing to budget-conscious, practical buyers, while its styling and performance resonate emotionally.
The Bad
Known weaknesses of the 2006 Mitsubishi Endeavor include potential issues with the automatic transmission, particularly harsh shifting. Rust can be a problem in regions with road salt. Fuel economy is not its strongest suit. Watch out for electrical problems and ensure regular maintenance has been performed to mitigate these potential issues. The interior materials can feel cheap.

What Problems Does the 2006 Mitsubishi Endeavor Have?
How long will the 2006 Mitsubishi Endeavor last?
Positive Owner Reviews
Negative Owner Reviews
What Technology & Safety Features are Included?
Crash-test ratings from the IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) and NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) varied. Generally, the Endeavor received decent scores, but not top marks in all categories. It's important to consult official crash-test reports for detailed information. The Limited trim also had a premium Infinity audio system. Overall, the tech and safety features were typical for a mid-2000s SUV, lacking modern conveniences like navigation or advanced safety aids. The focus was more on comfort and basic safety rather than cutting-edge technology. However, compared to similar vehicles of that time, the features were competitive.

How Does the 2006 Mitsubishi Endeavor Compare to Other Wagon?
For a more reliable and fuel-efficient option, the Toyota Highlander or Honda Pilot would be better choices, albeit potentially at a higher price point on the used market. If style is a priority and budget is a concern, the Nissan Murano might be a similar alternative, but be prepared for potential reliability issues. The Chevrolet Equinox is a cheaper alternative that is similar to the Endeavor. Overall, the Endeavor offers a decent value if purchased at a low price, but buyers should prioritize a thorough inspection and be prepared for potential repairs.

I have a 2006 that a gentleman at church just gave me.I have a 2006 that a gentleman at church just gave me. He just spent $7500 on it and was going to give it to his granddaughter, but she didn't want it. I has 287564 miles. The car is like brand new. I just love it. I will let you know when it reaches 300,000 miles.

I will never ever buy another Mitsubishi EndeavorThis vehicle is a nightmare I would never recommend any one to purchase a 2006-2010 Mitsubishi Endeavors. The previous owners got the HVAC recall done on 2011. I had this vehicle for 2 years just so the problem to happen again. And since the previous owners didn't complain about the part not being fixed right. They want me to pay for a recall repair that's been repaired by Mitsubishi again costing me $1600 to do. So I have no visual because the frost on my windows won't defrost because the heat keeps switching ,on it's own to air conditioning. Shame on you Mitsubishi. I will never buy any of your vehicles again. I will stick to American made cars and trucks. If any one see this comment you have been warned not to ever purchase any vehicle from Mitsubishi they can care less about their customers. Whether the vehicle is new or used that HVAC reall unit should always get repaired free if this problem keeps happening. Shame on you Mitsubishi.

Best value for your moneyI can not be more happy with it! After 306,000 miles still running like a champ! No major issues and we travel a lot Just keep good maintenance and it last forever. We are thinking to buy another one It is our fave car ever!

No major repairs, mechanically reliable.Perfect size for my needs, comfortable ride, and adequate cargo space, especially with the second row seat backs folded. Only issue now is the plastic handles on my tailgate/back window became brittle due to prolonged sun exposure and have broken to the point I cannot open them. Driver door handle also cracking.

Update from 2015I wrote a review two years ago and said the only maintenance I had done was brakes and tires. That was at 215K miles. I'm up to 280K miles now and have had a few other issues. I put three wheel bearings in, and had the transmission flushed twice when it started to shudder; once in the fall and then again in the spring. The shudder is gone. Still runs great, but it's starting to use some oil. One of the back windows no longer opens, but the A/C and heat still work great. All in all, this has been one of the most dependable, reliable vehicles I've ever had, and I've had a bunch. AWD works great. I live in NW WI, so I use it at least six months out of the year. Can pull my boat - 17' aluminum with a 70 horse outboard - easily.

I love itI recently bought this car used and feel like the heavens dropped it from the sky for me. It's such a dream. Great looks , handles extremely well. I was scared buying a car with 180,000 miles on it, but after driving it for a bit and reading everyone's reviews , I feel like I really hit the jackpot. The previous owner took excellent car of the interior and the exterior still looks great. Clean Carfax. I love this care more than my brand new Prius' I've leased and more than the 2015 Jeep Wrangler. It gets way better gas mileage than the Jeep. Thank you and please make this car again so I can get another one, when the time comes.

One of the most reliable autos I've ownedIt is comfortable to ride in for the size, has power to move when needed, gets above average gas mileage for a Mid-size SUV, is reliable, solid and handles well in all road conditions. Purchased used.

Trouble Free for over 100,000 milesI bought this vehicle because I need AWD, a large 6 cylinder engine to pull my boat and camper, and for comfort. I'm 6'5" tall, and need a decent sized car. The only things I've had to do on this car are oil changes, transmission flush, brakes, tires, and a couple of bearings. I have over 260,000 miles on the car now and it runs like a top. Drove it recently from Wisconsin to Oregon and back with nary a glitch. Runs up the mountains with ease. May be the best car I've ever owned, and I've owned a bunch of cars.
