The Good
The 2006 Subaru B9 Tribeca offers confident performance with its Subaru-engineered all-wheel-drive system, appealing to those seeking safety and control. Its comfortable ride and available seven-passenger seating make it practical for families. While its styling might be divisive, some find it unique and appealing. As a used vehicle, it can represent decent value for the features offered.
The Bad
The 2006 Subaru B9 Tribeca's weaknesses include its unconventional front-end styling, which was not universally liked. Fuel economy is below average for its class. Some owners have reported issues with the infotainment system and certain electrical components. Potential buyers should also be aware of possible transmission issues and higher-than-average maintenance costs.

Crazy About the B9 TribecaLooked for a used Subaru to replace my Toyota RAV4 which was unexpectedly rear ended and totaled. It was very pristine & when I saw it I knew I’d love driving it. It’s a solid state and beautifully designed vehicle. Comfortable to the Nth degree, the back and lumbar support is fantastic. It’s as dependable as any Toyota (which is important to me). It’s got a ton of mileage left to log and at 115k I’m confident enough to drive it to New England or the West coast. Love it’s smooth handling and sense of “serious car†because you don’t get this level of engineering at low cost, and it rides “expensive.†I feel like I’m in a Mercedes.

Great car if you like the styling. It's a great match for me. Excellent safety standards, great in poor weather, versatile interior space, award winning interior design, peppy (but not fast), and exterior styling that I really like. Apparently, most people didn't like it. I think the redesign was boring.
Best car ever! on August 19, 2020
Runs like a champ!I love this car. My first Subaru, and it’s reliable. I’m glad I bought it. I plan on having a great time, as it’s all wheel drive.

Complete xxxxxAfter a week, I couldn’t start it without being jumped. Got a new battery and still stayed the same. After a year, the engine literally blew up

Very reliable vehicleRuns very smooth.strong engine requires little maintenance very roomy and comfortable.awesome stereo sound.powerful engine.picks up speed fastalso stops quickly. I haven't had any problems with it whatsoever. The only thing it doesn't have is a AUX connection. Other than that I highly recommend this SUV.

Very reliable and safe. Lots of room. The AWD is sExcellent family car. Lots of storage. We eventually owned 2 Tribecas because we liked them so much. I learned firsthand why Subaru has such high customer loyalty.

Very dependable, drivable vehicle, LOVE IT!This has been a trouble free vehicle for 140,000 miles and still going strong. Subaru vehicles are great AWD vehicles especially where there is snow. Highly recommend Subaru!
