What Problems Does the 2018 Toyota Avalon Have?
Recalls for the 2018 Avalon have been relatively infrequent but it is essential to check the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) website for the most up-to-date recall information using the VIN of a specific vehicle you are considering.
Long-term reliability is generally a strong point for the Avalon. However, as with any vehicle, proper maintenance is crucial. Some owners have reported issues with the air conditioning system requiring servicing after several years. Regular oil changes, tire rotations, and other scheduled maintenance items are essential to ensure the longevity of the vehicle. The V6 engine is generally robust, but keeping up with recommended maintenance, such as spark plug replacement, is important. Potential buyers should always obtain a pre-purchase inspection by a qualified mechanic to identify any potential issues before buying a used 2018 Avalon.

Alternatives to the Avalon include:
- Nissan Maxima: Offers a sportier driving experience and more modern styling.
- Buick LaCrosse: Provides a luxurious interior and comfortable ride, but may not be as reliable.

Avalons for lifeWe always buy Toyota for low maintenance and reliability. We just purchased a 3rd used for our daughter. We are overall very pleased...3 issues. 1. Toyota Entune - the BlueTooth media system is lousy and impossible to operate. Very disappointed with that. The front seat could be more spacious, and when the rear heater is in use, the middle console gets very hot. Overall, however, for comfort and dependability, we love this car.

This was my 4th purchase of a Toyota Avalon.Awesome car. The features offered in the Toyota Avalon fit my "needs and wants" categories. This car is comfortable, efficient, easy to drive, and is generally a GREAT car. The fact that it is my fourth purchase of a Toyota Avalon is testament to my satisfaction.

Best car I have ever ownedMy Avalon is a pure pleasure to drive. It has Toyota reliability, outstanding styling inside and out, and a large trunk capacity for traveling. I could not recommend a better sedan.

Excellent Quality and Reliability All Around! This is the second Toyota Avalon I have owned. Just a fabulous vehicle, smooth, quiet, comfortable, plenty of power, metallic paint has incredible depth to it. This is sixth Toyota owned and had a 1997 Camry that ran like new when I sold it with almost 400,000 miles on it. Would have kept it as a spare vehicle to use when getting other vehicles serviced, but just did not have the space to store it. Point is these Toyotas run forever and I know this latest Avalon will as well.

Highly recommendThis is the second Avalon I have ever owned. I have never been disappointed. Love the safety features and it’s comfortable ride. Luxury at it’s best for less the price of the Lexus. Highly recommend would never settle for anything else.

Luxury at a reasonable priceAfter driving mid-sized cars for many years, I was ready for a full size sedan again. I had driven my other Toyotas to well over 200,000 miles with no problems, so I wanted to stick with Toyota. When I stepped inside the Avalon, I felt at home. It is extremely comfortable to drive and has awesome features. By purchasing at Hertz Car Sales, we received excellent service and a very reasonable price.

Great ride, room is good and I like the quietnessThe complaint on 2018 Avalon limited is back up camera all of a sudden started showing my license tag and the dealer says that is the way the car is, I find that hard to believe. I do not like it at all its blocks your view and is very annoying.
