2017 HR-V white paint evidently was a problem.2017 HR-V white paint evidently was a problem. Corrected on passenger under warranty, driver side now has same issue and out of warranty. Rear wheels can NOT be adjusted for alignment! I live in the country and winter freeze/ thaw causes pot holes that can be hidden by snow or water. A sudden drop in one and the axle needs to be replaced instead of a simple and inexpensive re-alignment! Never would have bought this car if I had known!

So far so goodI own a 2017 Honda HRV 1.5 Petrol FW CVT (European model). I'm the first owner and I just reached 220k Kilometers. No issues so far except for a start/stop button replacement and a scheduled suspension replacement (200k). All the services and oil changes were made on time according to the manual. I also started doing the oil/fluid changes (engine & cvt transmission) in less kilometers than the proposed schedule once the car reached 180k kilometers. The European edition 1.5 petrol motor responds well but I believe that a bigger motor would be more suitable for the specific model. I've traveled a lot on asphalt, gravel and snow (with a good pair of snow tires) and in temperatures varying between 14 to 113 Fehrenheit.

Honda HRV 2017I absolutely love my 2017 HRV. No problems with it at all. Im regular on my oil changes. Did have to get a new battery last winter . First new set of tires this year (2023). I would highly reccomend the HRV. Best car Ive ever had

Windscreen massive distortionThe windscreen distorts so badly you get migraines and could have a seizure. I can't wait to get rid of the car it's very very dangerous as after about twenty mins your eyes are massively stressed. You can images bending in the glass and your brain tries to compensate for it.

Reliable and worry freeI will try updating this as I continue using the car. So far I have 50k miles on my 2017 HRV and I've done a battery replacement, tire replacement and a few oil changes. Other than these things I have not had to spend any extra money on the car. I have a peace of mind knowing that this car won't break down because it's a Honda. Despite all of this I deducted a point from my scoring because my trim didn't have Apple CarPlay, I wish it was standard like other manufacturers have it as. I also don't think the exterior looks the best, but it's fine. The AWD on this car is great and has helped me through Pennsylvanian winters. Overall I think this is the best value for the money.

Why is this vehicle highly rated??Had a 2000 Honda CRV. LOVED that car. Tried new CRV's but did not find them comfortable or stylish. Test drove the HRV. Fit well, was cute, plenty of cargo space, reportedly good gas mileage. Purchased it, and after driving it for awhile, I would have to report many flaws: No “guts,†strange transmission (mechanic agrees), poorly placed controls (feel like I have to take eyes away to use…almost like texting), carpet is cheap and shreds, upholstered seats stain (even with water), defrost is weak and takes forever, AC just went out (5 year-old car!), gas mileage not what was originally claimed, the control screen is not intuitive and has taken awhile to know how to use, a couple door seals have come loose, back seats uncomfortable (especially headrests), hatchback gets stuck frequently… Good features: side view camera (Love!), large cargo area with rear seats down, cute… Maybe I was just sooo happy with my old CRV…wish I hadn't purchased this car!

This car saved my life!I was T-boned and the vehicle flipped onto the driver's side. Side air-bag and seatbelt saved my live, sun roof was open and I crawled out literally without a scratch on me, just a bruise from the seatbelt. I loved this car and am planning to buy the same model because I trust it to keep me safe.

Best ever for meUsed to Acura, but since retiring I found I was unable to drive like a moron so I had great experiences with all my Acuras, let's try a Honda. So far best car I've owned. Height off the street is amenable. I wanted an suv, not a tank. Fits me like my stretchy pants at a buffet. I love this vehicle. It looks great even when it's dirty and the sound system is none too shabby. I hope this is my last vehicle.

Maintenance is CostlyBought as a pre certified with 5600 miles. I noticed the previous owner had changed the oil 3 times and I thought this strange. I now have 11300 miles and have had to service twice. The second "Service Due Now" was a A 1 7 Thinking I would just need another oil change, I was advised I needed oil change, Tires rotated again, transmission and brake fluids changed for a total of $825. To keep the warranty good you have to accept what you are told. Why would an auto with only 11300 miles need the transmission and brake fluid changed. And also, the tires rotated everytime you get an oil change which it seems is going to be every 2000 miles. I will not purchase another Honda but will go back to a Chevrolet.
