The Good
The 2007 Jeep Commander offers robust off-road performance and a distinctive, classic Jeep design that appeals to those seeking adventure. It provides three-row seating for practicality. While not exceptionally fuel-efficient, its powerful engine options and comfortable interior make it a decent value proposition for families needing a capable SUV.
The Bad
The 2007 Jeep Commander has several known weaknesses. Fuel economy is poor, and the ride can be stiff. Common issues include electrical problems, transmission issues, and premature wear of suspension components. Check for rust, especially in areas with harsh winters. Better family off road in town vehicle I have everI've had my jeep commander for five years now I would highly recommend it to a single mom or dad. I have four grandchildren and we fit comfortably with all our belongings for day trips. We do some light mountain, climbing, as well as rugged, terrain driving we live in Oregon, so there's a lot of off road off pavement Driving we also have our canines and that they enjoy it to lots of room. Lots of space seats can go up and down in the back. I also use a cargo carrier in the back for her extra luggage and so forth this vehicle has had me very spoiled, and my next vehicle will be the same .

The most reliable jeep I've ever hadI love this thing more than my old xj cherokee! It has 198,000 miles and has never left me stranded. Has never had a check engine light. Lovely jeep! And super roomy inside! 4x4 is Amazing also!

Runs like a champI have own the 2007 Jeep Commander for quite a few years, racking up 170,000 miles on it and have had no major problems with it. In comparison I also owned a 2007 Mazda 3 with 124,000 miles on it and the transmission is going out in it. Guess which car I am keeping and which one I am fixing to sell. Keeping the Jeep. Probably the only problem I have with the vehicle is small space in the back seats. My husband and I are both tall and both of our kids are in car seats and it gets cramped back there. Other than that, great vehicle.

Love my JeepThis Jeep has been very good to me until about 1 year after I paid it off. It's been repair after repair since. Granted it's 13 years old now, so that's expected. I'd definitely buy another one, I just wouldn't keep it as long.

Very Reliable but fun SUVCar has option to play AUX fro music, the seats pump upwards so you are closer to the wheel. Plenty of space for a full family, the third row of seats go easily down for storing camping gear!

Great Jeep CmmanderDrove this jeep for most of its miles. Had it serviced every 3,000 miles. Great vehicle for young driver or family. Safe and dependable. Third row seating with heat and air for larger families.

I was very pleased after I had repairs madeThis car met my needs and provided space for the grandchildren to take to the lake and have lots of fun I still would purchase that type of vehicle again, just not from R&A motors...pure trash

Great car. Just have it serviced 1x yr Jeep dealerLove the style of my 07 Commander w/buttoned fenders purchased in 2009 Handles so easy. Simple switch from 2 to 4 wheel drive. The only thing I dont like is the dark gray dash that has turned sticky.

Took it in for one recall they should have done alTook it in for one recall they should have done all of them. It seems everyone I have talk to that has a commander has had the same problem with the transmission overheating light coming on and then the car won't crank. I was coming back from Birmingham to Prattville Alabama and the transmission overheating light came on it turned off. While I was driving. I was stuck over a bridge. Someone got out and help me push it to where I could coast it down to a store where it would not crank it sounded like the starter was gone because that would make a zinging sound. I had four different mechanics look at it each had a different idea of what was wrong. One said it was the starter so I bought a starter. Then he said that the transmission sensors had gone out. And that that was why I would not crank. I am planning to take it to the jeep I had four different mechanics look at it each had a different idea of what was wrong. One said it was the starter so I bought a starter. Then he said that the transmission sensors had gone out. And that that was why I would not crank. I am planning to take it to the jeep Dealership this week. I love my jeep and I want it back. But with so many people saying that the transmission sensor was giving them issues I think you guys should maybe do a recall on that.

An overall greeat value large SUVThis Jeep gives you all the luxury you want with the power and ruggedness you need in an SUV. This vehicle is great to pick up a hot date for a high class night on the town or take your hometown girl out for some rock crawling or a day at the lake pulling a boat behind you.
