The Good
The 2019 Chevy Spark boasts excellent fuel efficiency, appealing to budget-conscious buyers. It's surprisingly nimble and easy to park, a plus for city dwellers. While not a powerhouse, its reliability is generally good. The Spark's youthful design and vibrant color options can appeal to those seeking a fun, practical, and affordable car.
The Bad
The 2019 Chevrolet Spark's weaknesses include its limited rear passenger space and small cargo area. Its engine offers modest power, which can feel strained at highway speeds or when fully loaded. The automatic transmission can feel sluggish. Pay attention to the clutch if it is a manual transmission as they have known issues.

How Does the 2019 Chevrolet Spark Compare to Other Hatchback?
- Performance: The Rio offers more horsepower, making it better suited for highway driving.
- Features: The Spark's infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is a strong selling point compared to some rivals' basic systems.
- Reliability: All three cars have reasonably good reliability records, but the Spark’s potential CVT issues should be considered.
- Price: The Spark is often the most affordable option, making it attractive for budget buyers.
Alternatives include the used Honda Fit, which offers significantly more cargo space and a more powerful engine, albeit at a potentially higher price point. If cargo space and power are priorities, the Fit is a better alternative. If pure affordability and city maneuverability are key, the Spark holds its own.

My grandma was driving this car when the brakes broke andMy grandma was driving this car when the brakes broke and now she is dead I will never forget this poor excuse for a car.

I have TWO!!There is NOTHING I don't like about my Spark ... that's not to say that there couldn't be some improvements ... but it is EVERYTHING I want in a car in 2022. I bought mine back in 2018 ... love the roll up windows (power windows break over time and cost money), love the REAL ignition key, love the manual transmission (had to search high and low - but that's okay I found it), love the compact size, the Apple Car Play, the comfort - - - but MORE THAN ANYTHING, in this world of $5 gas ... I can't tell you how happy I am with the mileage. I AVERAGE over 38 mpg. That means for the price of gas, my expenditures are the same as a schmo with a car that gets 19 mpg back when gas was 2.50! I like it so much that I bought my son a brand new 2021 Spark outfitted the same way. I was devastated to hear that GM will no longer sell them after 2022.

It's a cheap city carThe car is good for what it is but it being a Chevy and not thought of with reliability in mind it's not a good money saving car except for gas.

Dream CarI absolutely love it!! It’s my dream car, it’s the best little car that was made just for me, it’s small and affordable. Great for a 1st car for anyone.

Best quality and value small commuter and city carThis is my second Spark. It is durable, reliable, and very well designed and built. It is as fun to drive as a Mini but has a better drivers position and supportive seat. I’ve been impressed with this car and it’s related parentage models. Great value. Durable! Reliable. Solid small car.

wonderfully compactThis car meets all my needs. It is small but has plenty of leg room for front and back passengers, and a convenient little cargo area in the hatch. I dont need to haul anything but an occasional passenger and groceries so it suits me just fine. I absolutely love the color, passion fruit. The styling was revamped for 2019 models and it is more sporty and sophisticated than previous models. I wouldn't want to go back to a full size vehicle now because of the ease of handling and maneuverability and the super low cost of fuel used by this 35 mpg little champ!

I love owning and driving this Chevy spark. The car is perfectly beautiful and fun to drive. It has no issues ice cold ac Bluetooth WiFi and backup camera. It’s even quite roomy and is great on gas 39-40 mpg. It has only 12,000 miles and will be a good transportation car to and from work or school and for long distance trips. I’m selling it because I’m the only person who can drive manual transmission and I’ll trade for or buy another with an automatic transmission.

DisappointmentBought this car counting on Chevy's name and reliability to carry through, but it's been a bit of an issue from day one. Horrible acceleration, a little overpriced, REALLY rough on any potholes or road blemishes (like hitting a brick). We were in a minor accident, as well, and it is just not the same. Brakes having all kinds of issues. Just not the car I thought it would be.

A whole lot in a small package! The best car for under $15000! You will not find a better value. Chevy has certainly cornered the market in this vehicle segment. So many features for so little money.

The exact car I wanted, everything a car should beI recently bought a 2020 spark, which is exactly like the 2019 models. I love it! I bought the base model so it comes with window cranks ,but I’ve actually always liked those! It drives so smooth and it’s also a really nice looking car!
