Analysis
What Problems Does the 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer Have?
Transmission issues, such as rough shifting or slipping, have been reported, especially at higher mileage. Engine issues are less common, but some owners have reported problems with oil consumption or sensor failures. Rust, particularly on the undercarriage and body panels, is a concern, especially in areas with road salt.
Recalls for the 2007 Trailblazer have addressed issues such as faulty ignition switches and problems with the fuel system. Checking the vehicle's VIN on the NHTSA website is recommended to identify any outstanding recalls.
Long-term reliability concerns primarily revolve around the durability of the electrical and HVAC systems, as well as potential transmission and suspension issues. Regular maintenance and addressing problems promptly can help extend the vehicle's lifespan.
How long will the 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer last?
However, long-term durability depends heavily on maintenance. Neglecting routine maintenance can significantly shorten its lifespan. Key weaknesses over time include wear on suspension components, potential transmission issues, and electrical problems as previously discussed. Rust can also accelerate deterioration, especially in regions with harsh winters.
What Technology & Safety Features are Included?
Safety features included front airbags and side-impact airbags (optional on some trims). Stability control (StabiliTrak) was available.
Crash-test ratings from the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) varied depending on the specific test. The Trailblazer generally received good ratings for frontal crash protection but lower ratings for side-impact protection. It’s crucial to check specific ratings for the 2007 model year on the NHTSA website for detailed information.
Overall, the Trailblazer's tech and safety features were typical for vehicles of its era. Modern vehicles offer significantly more advanced driver-assistance and infotainment systems. Keep in mind the technology is quite dated compared to vehicles produced today.

How Does the 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer Compare to Other WT?
Features-wise, the Trailblazer was competitive for its time, but the Explorer and Grand Cherokee often offered more advanced options. The 4Runner, however, prioritized ruggedness and reliability over cutting-edge features. Reliability was a mixed bag for the Trailblazer; some owners experienced few issues, while others faced electrical or mechanical problems. The 4Runner is typically considered more reliable.
In terms of price, the Trailblazer often offered a good value proposition on the used market compared to the 4Runner, which tends to hold its value well.
Alternatives to consider include the Toyota 4Runner for superior reliability and off-road capability (albeit at a higher price point), or a newer, more fuel-efficient SUV like a Honda CR-V or Toyota RAV4 if fuel economy is a priority. The Ford Explorer is a similar alternative, though also has potential reliability concerns to consider.

Feed Your Need For SpeedOne night I heard the voice of Ricky Bobby in my head. He was whispering 4 words to me. “I WANNA GO FAST!†It was then that I knew what I had to do. 395 hp, 6.0L Corvette motor, AWD, room for 5 plus luggage, rear airbag suspension for towing, leather interior, traction control off switch on the shifter, 11.8 mpg on Super Unleaded. The 2006-2010 Chevy Trailblazer SS. My second one. The first one, a low miles 2008 I owned when I lived in Michigan and in Detroit there are no rules. Cold Air Intake, Engine and Trans Tune, 3 inch exhaust, top speed limiter delete. The one I have now I found here on cars.com. A 2007 with 89k miles. One owner. Love it just like I did the first. My daily driver. They say the faster you go time slows down. I’ve found the fountain of youth. Good thing I listened to Ricky Bobby.

I purchased it new in June 2006 as an 2007 LS.Overall; it is a reliable car but; it comes with a great cost. Missed the recalls about the electric system with my driver’s speaker that does not work again after a repair at the dealership; fixed the evaporation System; power steering hoses leakage; the ABS ; radiator hoses for overheating. Right now it in for new Struts and shocks as well as a driver’s side noise at high speed. Also the left and right turn signals do not chime anymore even if they stay on for more than 30 seconds. Finally, the anti-skip light comes on and causes hesitations at sudden takeoff. If you are about to buy a used one ,have a mechanic to help. The only recall I did not miss was a fuel gauge giving a false reading even with a full tank. Thank you!

Powerful, comfortable, and stylish.Power, comfort, and style is great. Very fun to drive. Gas mileage is poor for what it is. Smaller than a Tahoe but gets the same gas mileage.
