The Good
The 2014 Titan boasts strong V8 performance, delivering ample power for towing and hauling, appealing to practical buyers. Ride comfort is a strong suit, making long drives enjoyable. Its bold design provides a rugged aesthetic that resonates emotionally with truck enthusiasts. While not the most fuel-efficient, it offers solid reliability and decent value for its capabilities.
The Bad
The 2014 Titan's fuel economy is a known weakness, lagging behind some competitors. Interior materials and design can feel dated compared to newer trucks. Some owners have reported issues with the exhaust manifold and differential. Rust can also be a concern, especially in areas with road salt.

What Problems Does the 2014 Nissan Titan Have?
While specific recalls for the 2014 model year may vary based on production date and region, it's important to check the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) website for any outstanding recalls related to safety or emissions. Earlier model years of the Titan (2004-2008) had some issues with fuel sending units and potential brake line corrosion, but these issues were largely addressed in later models like the 2014. However, maintaining regular inspections for rust and driveline components is crucial for long-term reliability. Furthermore, keep an eye out for potential electrical issues, although they are not as prevalent as the exhaust manifold or rust problems. Regular maintenance, including fluid changes and inspections, is essential to mitigating these concerns.

What Technology & Safety Features are Included?
Safety features include front airbags, side-impact airbags, and side curtain airbags. Crash-test ratings from the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) generally show decent performance, with overall ratings typically in the 4-star range. However, specific scores can vary based on the cab configuration (King Cab vs. Crew Cab). It's important to note that the Titan lacks advanced safety technologies common in newer vehicles, such as blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, or automatic emergency braking. The infotainment system also lacks modern smartphone integration features like Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Base models are particularly spartan, requiring upgrades to obtain even basic conveniences.

How Does the 2014 Nissan Titan Compare to Other Truck?
The Ford F-150 offers a wider range of engine options and better fuel economy. The Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra 1500 provide more modern features and a more refined interior. The Ram 1500 excels in ride comfort and interior quality. If fuel economy and modern features are priorities, the F-150, Silverado/Sierra, or Ram 1500 are better alternatives. If you're looking for a capable and affordable truck with a strong V8 engine and decent reliability, the Titan is a reasonable choice. However, consider a well-maintained Tundra for superior long-term reliability, although it may come at a higher price.

Big BlackGood truck very reliable yes mileage is not the greatest but you should not own a truck if you worry about gas get a smart car. Then you can worry about the price of maintenance speaking of which only done the basic to my Titan.

Best truck I’ve had so farThis truck met all my needs. Very roomy interior, powerful engine and loads of space and storage. Only thing that would make this truck is the gas mileage but everything else is amazing

Worst titan I've owned (2014 Pro x 4x4)I have had nothing but problems with this truck mechanical, struts , axle , hubs , and now transmission , I have owned a 2006 titan and it was the nicest truck until a Nasty accident totaled it , but the pro x 4x4 is the worst by far

Day Two Just bought it yesterday very impressed!I was not even looking for a Nissan Truck, but after a test drive I was so impressed I decided to see about making a purchase. Outside of some High milage 127 Thousand miles in just 5 years. An average of 25.4 per year. Some body obviously enjoyed The truck before I got it. I wont put AS many miles on it as They did. I only live 8 miles from work so 80×52=4160. If you throw in the occassional trip out of town I may hit six or seven thousand a year tops!

I like the truck. Not so happy about repair cost.It rides great and the seats are comfy. At 44k miles shift mode doesn't work $660+tax, fuel gauge works improperly $130'ish for sending unit. Great cab space.

Eye Candy, Mechanically sound, Rumble! This truck is all I could ask for. I?m not a small business owner, pro sportsman or mountain climber, but this truck can do all! Very nice to look at and drive. Mechanically very well put together. I use it for leisure, everyday stuff and just being a home owner. It will pass everything except a gas station. But I have a 1 mile daily commute, so that doesn?t really matter.

Great truckLoved my 2014 titan. Only problem was the mpg. I averaged 12.4 mpg which made for some expensive trips to the gas station. Loved the extras the truck comes with and rode like a dream
