The Good
The 2020 WRX boasts strong turbocharged performance and standard symmetrical all-wheel drive, appealing to enthusiasts seeking thrills. Practically, it offers decent reliability and a usable rear seat. While not luxurious, it provides a comfortable enough ride for daily driving. Its aggressive styling also adds to its appeal, and it generally holds its value well.
The Bad
The 2020 WRX's weaknesses include a somewhat dated interior, noticeable road noise, and a firm ride that might not suit everyone. Fuel economy is only average for its class. Some owners have reported issues with the infotainment system and potential for oil consumption, so monitoring oil levels is important. The clutch feel can also be vague for some drivers.

What Problems Does the 2020 Subaru WRX Have?
While specific recalls for the 2020 model year might be limited, it's crucial to check the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) website for the most up-to-date recall information. Long-term reliability can be affected by proper maintenance. Keeping up with scheduled services, especially oil changes, is vital. Some earlier model years of the WRX (prior to 2015) had more significant issues, such as engine failures, but the 2020 model is generally considered more reliable, though the aforementioned concerns should still be taken into account. Preventative maintenance and careful driving habits contribute greatly to the car's lifespan.
How long will the 2020 Subaru WRX last?
What Technology & Safety Features are Included?
Driver-assistance features vary by trim. The Limited trim offers blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. Subaru's EyeSight driver-assistance system, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking, is *not* available on manual transmission models. However, it *is* available on WRX models equipped with the CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission).
In terms of safety, the 2020 WRX received generally positive crash-test ratings from the IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) and NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration). It's advisable to check the official IIHS and NHTSA websites for the most current and detailed crash-test results. Standard safety features across all trims include anti-lock brakes, stability control, and a suite of airbags. The infotainment system, while functional, isn't the most modern or responsive compared to some competitors.

How Does the 2020 Subaru WRX Compare to Other Sedan?
Reliability is a mixed bag; the GTI and Mazda3 are generally considered slightly more reliable than the WRX. The Elantra N is newer but has shown promise in initial reliability reports. Feature-wise, the WRX is competitive but can feel a bit dated compared to newer models. Price-wise, the WRX is generally comparable. Alternatives to consider include the GTI for a more refined experience, the Civic Si for a more engaging drive, or the Elantra N for a newer, potentially more exciting option. The Mazda3 Turbo offers a blend of luxury and performance.
Whether one is "better" depends on individual priorities; the WRX excels in performance and AWD capability, while others may offer better refinement, features, or fuel economy.

Great grocery getterGot my 2020 a few years back been a soild car. Haven't had one major issue with any of the car drivableity of the car. But thank again my service record is flawless . But for an all wheel drive car she pulls hard when your ready to have fun but can just cruise when you need her to the drive modes are a great ad to it . But all and all would recommend anybody give it a look and go test drive one .

Best bang for your buck hands down. You enjoy driving a spirited car that responds to your input. : “check “ you need the room and versatility of a four door sedan. : “check†You need the all weather security of all wheel drive. : “checkâ€. I don’t think there’s anything in the marketplace that checks all the boxes like a Subaru WRX.

The most fun you can have with 270HPThis car exceeds any expectation I had coming into this. Pulls HARD, super quick, eats corners for snacks, almost 30 mpg on the highway, creature comforts like heated seats, heated wipers and heated side mirrors, of course Bluetooth and backup camera like most vehicles these days. Just the right amount of tech. Whats important here is how much fun this is to drive, the looks it gets on the road AND it will not kill you at the gas pump. PERFECTION FOR ME.

Great so far, but it only been a month. So far, I really enjoy this car it the majority of what I was looking for when I was considering what to purchase...performance, a usable backseat, good styling, good interior features and options (I bought the limited) and all wheel drive. For just over $30k it’s a very good all around car. There’s a few things I dislike, one being as I mentioned I bought the pretty much loaded limited version and only the drivers seat is power and on top of that doesn’t adjust up and down for ride height. Another thing is that it has a very short power band, it just seems to only deliver good power for about 2,000 rpm then falls off. All in all a good car that’s fun to drive.
