What Problems Does the 2011 Volvo S80 Have?
Regarding recalls, it's essential to check the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) website for any outstanding recalls related to the 2011 Volvo S80. Recalls can vary depending on the specific model and VIN.
Long-term reliability concerns often revolve around the longevity of electronic components and the potential for increased maintenance costs as the vehicle ages. The turbocharged T6 engine, while offering more power, may require more frequent maintenance and could be more susceptible to certain issues over time compared to the naturally aspirated 3.2L engine. Suspension components, such as struts and bushings, may also require replacement after several years of use. Rust is generally not a major concern for Volvo vehicles of this era, but it's still important to inspect the undercarriage for any signs of corrosion, especially in regions with harsh winter conditions and road salt use. Regular maintenance, including oil changes and fluid checks, is crucial for maintaining the long-term reliability of the 2011 Volvo S80.

I love my car. I bought it new in 2010I love this car! It's sleek, reliable and comfortable! I hope it runs forever! It's too bad that this car isn't manufactured anymore. I only wish we would have bought the all wheel drive.

Practical luxury sedanJust purchased this S80 3.2l and have been driving it for a little under a month, including the 9 hour trip home from the lot I bought it from, which I was Abit nervous about doing in a used car with 177000km. So far I am very impressed. It's no race car, but having a family, I was not looking for one.. it's a 9 year old sedan, but still looks good and performs well. I spent close to a year researching many different makes and models. I wanted luxury and reliability without the costly trips to the mechanic ( German auto makers ) I also wanted something different that had character unlike the Japanese car makers. The S80 checked both boxes. I would have preferred the T6 awd version , but the ones in my price range all had well over 200 000kms. The interior is well layed out and simple to use. The only negative so far is the blind spot monitoring system. It dose not work at all when it rains. 10 - 11 hours of highway travel on 1 tank of gas is always a bonus. If you are worried about cost of ownership, find a good independent Volvo mechanic, and buy any parts online ( not from a dealership )

Best car I've ever had!I bought this car used and was a little nervous about the cost to own factor. But it has been very reliable and affordable. No issues at all so far and I have been driving it for 3 years. It's comfortable and timeless design will make it a car I will keep for years! I may never drive another one!

This car is over my expectations.Hope to be able to buy another Volvo S60 T6 AWD with 3.0 L in line engine. Safety, comfort, style, interior design and reliability under one roof.

volvo quality is goneThis car has had problems since we bought it off lease. The engine burns oil which I found out is common with this 3.2L engine. Sunroof leaks, gas cap leaks air always turning on check engine light. Ignition system is a farce, you can't roll up the windows without pressing this and holding that. easier to just start it. Cant run the radio while washing it, battery goes dead. Can get to battery to jump it. A/c went out at 90k. Its not just this particular car, this model has many documented problems

Absolutely incredible! Under the radar excellenceWe have owned the following so you know what we are comparing the Volvo S80 T6 AWD: 1. Audi A8 2. Audi S4 3. BMW 535D 4. Genesis 5.0 5. Lexus LS430 6. BMW 328 Sport 7. MB E350 4Matic And other high line over the years We know what a good comfortable, insanely equipped, sporty, well made, reliable, fun, and classy sedan is. The Volvo S80 T6 AWD is our favorite vehicle of every car we have owned. I can’t understand any reviews where there is any reference to the Volvo S80 T6 not be sporty, well handling, fun, and stuck to the road. Apparently this is a misnomer about the Volvo proliferated by some that really haven’t spent time driving the car. It is quieter than the Audi A8. It is as much fun as the S4. Ours is fully loaded and I can confidently say it’s technology is and was years ahead of its time. The BLIS system works flawlessly. The lane departure is nearly flawless. The T6 3.0 AWD is quick. It will outrun just about anything on the road that isn’t a true sports vehicle. The Dynaudio Premium Audio is the BEST stereo we have ever had in a vehicle when connected to uncompressed music. And, we have had Bose, Harman Kardon, Bowers and Wilkins, and Lexicon stereos. The Volvo stereo is the best! Hands down, nothing compares. We average 27-29 MPG at 65-75 MPH on freeway and average 18-19 overall with city/freeway driving. The Volvo S80 T6 AWD is a steal on the preowned market if you are patient and wait for a good one.

Gorgeous car! AWD 281 HP. Safest car on the planetI looked over the entire western US for 2 months. Found this S 80 T6 AWD in Reno. Hat ad some custom work done that makes the car a "one off". Not another one like it anywhere! Great value.

Best car! Definitely want one!I test drive a used S80 T6 AWD, and fell in love with it. I definitely love the size and power. I would probably get one with a few more options and especially one with the city safe option! It really does work! I had a college student walk right out in front of me between two vans and before I could react the car stopped!!!! That is the next thing I have ever experienced! Great job Volvo!!!!!!
