What Problems Does the 2023 Honda Accord Hybrid Have?

As the 2023 Honda Accord Hybrid is a relatively new model, extensive long-term reliability data is still emerging. However, some commonly reported issues with newer vehicles, particularly those with updated technology, may apply. These could include infotainment system glitches or software bugs, which may require software updates or dealer intervention. Some owners might report issues with the advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), such as adaptive cruise control or lane-keeping assist, potentially requiring recalibration.
It's crucial to monitor for any recalls issued by Honda. Check the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) website regularly for updates. Hybrid systems, while generally reliable, require specific maintenance, and long-term battery health is a consideration for all hybrids. Keep an eye on forums and owner reviews for emerging trends in reported problems. Given the complete redesign, early model years might be more susceptible to minor issues that get ironed out in subsequent years. Regular maintenance, following the manufacturer's recommendations, is crucial to mitigating potential long-term reliability concerns.

How long will the 2023 Honda Accord Hybrid last?

With proper maintenance, the 2023 Honda Accord Hybrid should easily achieve 200,000 miles or more. Hondas are known for their durability, and regular servicing, including oil changes, brake inspections, and hybrid system maintenance, will maximize its lifespan. Pay attention to the high-voltage battery; its lifespan is typically 8-10 years or 100,000-150,000 miles. Potential long-term weaknesses could include wear and tear on suspension components and the hybrid battery pack, which may require eventual replacement. Careful driving habits also contribute significantly to the car's longevity.

Cell Phone Bluetooth Issues & No Sirius/XM!

I bought a Honda 2023 EX-L Accord Hybrid. Love the car, but furious there was no Sirius-XM software installed on the model. You now only get that on the Touring (Most expensive)Trim model. I had to have it installed by an independent company into the car for an additional $650. Why not offer it at least as an extra that a Honda Mechanic can execute a software upgrade in the radio system which installs it? You put the Sirius/XM software in all your cars when it first became available, and now you only put it in the Touring Trims! Ripoff!! Also, the phone system; Often the bluetooth gets set up to link your cellphones in the new car and then a few hundred miles down the road it fails and you have to do a complete reboot of the cellphone bluetooth system and then re-link your cell phones all over again to get it to work. This has happened twice to me and I have only got 6000 miles on the new car!

A comfortable and efficient sedan.

Traded in my 2018 Honda Ridgeline for a 2023 Accord EX-L hybrid in April, 2023. Shopped the Toyota Camry but it felt "dated" in comparison to the Accord. I was primarily interested in gas mileage and have averaged 51 mpg so far over 10,800 miles of driving. The car is comfortable, solid and enjoyable to drive. I am very pleased with my purchase and highly recommend the Accord hybrid.

Disappointing

EX-L has some shortcomings. Passenger seat is extremely low and my 5 foot wife can't see out the front window and the side comfortably. Doesn't have Sirius capabilities and remotes in the mirrors to open garage doors. It doesn't come with a Cd player nor can it be added.
