The Good
The 2017 Honda Fit excels in practicality and value. Its fuel efficiency and reliability appeal to practical buyers. Emotionally, the Fit offers surprising cargo space and versatility, providing a sense of freedom and capability. Its nimble handling makes city driving enjoyable, and the available features enhance comfort and convenience.
The Bad
Weaknesses of the 2017 Honda Fit include a somewhat noisy cabin, especially at highway speeds. The continuously variable transmission (CVT) can feel sluggish at times. Some owners have reported issues with the infotainment system. The ride can be firm, and the rear seats aren't the most comfortable for long trips. Watch for transmission shudder, a reported issue in some models.

How long will the 2017 Honda Fit last?
What Technology & Safety Features are Included?
Driver-assistance features are relatively limited. Honda Sensing, which includes features like adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning, was not available on the 2017 Fit.
Safety features include antilock brakes, stability control, and a suite of airbags. In crash tests, the 2017 Honda Fit performed well. The NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) gave it an overall safety rating of 5 stars. How Does the 2017 Honda Fit Compare to Other Sedan?
For performance, the Fit offers a slightly more engaging driving experience than some competitors, especially with the manual transmission. Feature-wise, the Fit's EX trim with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is competitive.
A similar alternative is the Honda Civic Hatchback (though a class larger), which offers more space and features, but at a higher price. If cargo space and the Magic Seat aren't priorities, the Toyota Yaris iA (Mazda2 sedan) is a reliable and fun-to-drive alternative. Ultimately, the Fit's combination of space, efficiency, and reliability makes it a compelling choice in the subcompact class.

It saved my life! REALLY!!!!Bought it new in 2017 because I wanted a small car that didn't crumple in an accident. Well it didn't. Had a major accident and it was totaled. Hit by a much larger truck combined front and driver side collision, went airborne over 2/3 lanes, knocked down utility poles and stopped. I crawled out the drivers door with only bumps and bruises. I am 76ers old. Nothing in the car touched me, except the airbags. The medics didn't believe me. (I am an RN). I am so grateful that it did it's job by saving my life. So, I Bought another FIT. The driver's seat is uncomfortable on a long trip and it takes a few seconds to get in gear. That's all I have for negatives.

Just the right size !This car worked perfectly for me. Easy to drive and park in crowded places/traffic. Compact yet roomy. Back seats can be folded to make extra room. Fuel efficient.

Just Bought It, Extremely HappyGot this used car for my now-driving teenager. Wife is happy as it got Fives across the board for safety. I'm happy as it is inexpensive to operate. Teenager is happy as it has good tech, looks good, and drives very, very smooth. Everyone is happy with the predicted reliability.

"City Living" is made better by a Honda FitWe just bought a used Fit LX. So far it exceeds all expectations. Based on how people talk about it you would think its a little gocart that looks very unattractive. We have been pleasantly surprised by the aesthetic appeal and performance. Its more than enough power for city driving. Tons and Tons of storage in such a small car. We found a good deal and love the security of knowing we got a Honda. For us, we were planning on getting an EX, but after test driving realized that the added features were just "fine". This is a really really practical and well built car. If you want the extra stuff, no problem, but the LX was more than enough for us. So we saved a few thousand dollars and couldnt be happier.

I fell in love the minute I sat behind the wheel. This car is excellent. It is a comfortable ride, to the grocery store, plenty of room in the back. The backup camera is new to me, and an added bonus!

Great, great car !!Good looking car, a miser on fuel, perfect for my job. The trunk or hatchback stores all my fishing gear. For the price this is a gem !!

Second Honda I've ownedThe car is very comfortable when driving. It has plenty of leg room in the front and back and lots of storage space. Very good on gas.

Most fun car I've ever ownedGreat car for saving on gas along with fun to drive. I had the 6 speed transmission which was an overall great transmission. That was responsive and gave the car a bit of pep.

HONDA LIES ABOUT THEIR CONNECTIVITY TO PHONESHonda dealers and the honda website claims that you can connect your phone to the car for a variety of uses, like making calls, navigation, etc. However, it does not and their customer service personal know this. I purchased this car from a honda dealer an was told to purchase additional cables to connect my iphone to the car. the phone can connect via bluetooth without the cables. however, the honda link feature is only a radio. there isn't a typical infotainment feature for this car as with other car companies. my understanding, they didn't add a true "carplay" experience until 2019!!! their dealers should know this!!!!
