Availability of certain features may be limited based on trim level.

Analysis
What Problems Does the 2022 Honda Insight Have?
Long-term reliability concerns are generally minimal, thanks to Honda's reputation. However, like all hybrids, the long-term health of the hybrid battery pack is a key consideration. Regular maintenance, including timely fluid changes and adherence to the recommended service schedule, is crucial for maximizing the lifespan of the battery and other components. Some owners proactively consider extended warranties to cover potential battery replacement costs after the standard warranty expires. Overall, the Insight is considered a reliable vehicle, but staying informed about potential issues and maintaining the vehicle properly are essential for long-term ownership satisfaction.
How long will the 2022 Honda Insight last?
What Technology & Safety Features are Included?
Safety features include anti-lock brakes, stability control, and multiple airbags. Crash-test ratings from the IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) and NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) are typically high, with the Insight often earning top safety scores. Optional features are limited, as Honda primarily packages features by trim level rather than offering a wide range of individual options. The intuitive infotainment system and comprehensive suite of safety features contribute to a safe and enjoyable driving experience.

How Does the 2022 Honda Insight Compare to Other Sedan?
In terms of reliability, the Insight and Prius are generally considered top contenders. Feature-wise, the Insight offers a competitive suite of standard driver-assistance technologies. Performance-wise, all these vehicles prioritize fuel efficiency over outright speed. A similar alternative to the Insight is the Toyota Corolla Hybrid, offering similar fuel economy and reliability in a slightly smaller package. Ultimately, the best choice depends on individual preferences regarding styling, features, and cargo capacity. If a conventional sedan appearance is a priority, the Insight is a strong contender. If maximum cargo space is needed, the Niro might be a better choice.

Drive like a GrandPa!My Insight EX 2022 is economical , comfortable and IMHO pretty. Now that late May is here (NJ) I've averaged 57 mpg in last 4 weeks. Winter is only 51 mpg. Bought in October 2021 and I average 625 miles per month, which means I fill up once per month! And always less than $30. I use the regenerative braking paddles as much as possible, only wish there was a third or fourth setting to bring to an almost complete stop stop, brake pads would last forever!, as I drive not much I'm averaging 11 months per oil change. I highly recommend this vehicle except if your commute is very hilly/ mountains. Much engine roar on big hills. Here in NJ not many of those. I'm 67 y.o. and do love to hypermile I do drive like the grandpa that I am!
