The Good
The 2012 Azera offers a compelling mix of comfort, style, and value. Its V6 engine delivers smooth and adequate performance (appealing to the emotional buyer). The spacious, well-appointed cabin provides a comfortable ride. (practical) Solid reliability ratings (practical) coupled with a lower price point than some competitors (practical) make it a smart choice.
The Bad
While generally reliable, the 2012 Azera isn't perfect. Some owners have reported issues with the navigation system and other electronic components. The car's styling, while handsome, might not appeal to everyone, lacking the more aggressive lines of some competitors. Fuel economy, while acceptable, isn't class-leading.

What Problems Does the 2012 Hyundai Azera Have?
Recalls for the 2012 Azera have been issued, primarily related to potential electrical fires and brake light switch malfunctions. It's crucial to check the vehicle's VIN with the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) to determine if any recalls are outstanding. Long-term reliability concerns mainly revolve around the longevity of electronic components and the potential for increased maintenance as the car ages. Preventative maintenance, such as regular oil changes and fluid checks, is essential to mitigate potential problems and extend the vehicle's lifespan. Overall, the Azera is relatively reliable, but potential buyers should be aware of these potential issues and factor them into their purchasing decision.
How long will the 2012 Hyundai Azera last?
What Technology & Safety Features are Included?
Driver-assistance features were less advanced than today's standards but included standard features like anti-lock brakes (ABS), electronic stability control (ESC), and traction control. The Limited trim offered optional features such as lane departure warning and adaptive cruise control.
Safety features included front and side airbags, as well as side curtain airbags for both rows of seats.
Crash-test ratings from the IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) and NHTSA should be checked for specific scores, but the Azera generally performed well in crash tests for its class and era. I'm buying a 2nd oneI purchased this car for my 16 year old son, now I'm looking at getting one for myself. This car has a quiet ride, a spacious interior, the fit and fill is top-notch for being a Hyundai, and the car is just my favorite out of my five different automobiles. I'm currently talking to my dealer to get me another one.

Just wowI owed a 2012 Hyundai Azera with the 7k entertainment package including the panoramic sunroof and sunshades and i cant tell you value for money was this car. It had on down fall and that was the sports turned ride. But what it came with is awesome and as new you couldn't find anything in this price point for what you got. Power heated and cooled seats 298 horse 3.3 l v6 panoramic sunroof automatically up and down windows sunshades navigation hid head lights snd led tail lights running lights and blinkers. It was awesome

Best car I have ever ownedI love this Hyundai Azera, everything about it. I am disappointed that Hyundai will drop this model from it's lineup. Perhaps it was not marketed well enough. I have read quite a few of the reviews from the 2012-17 models and I would say that at least 80% of them were excellent. That's impressive. Even though 2017 was the last year model, it will not discourage me from buying another one.

Great looks, inside and out!Overall it's a great car - I love the ride, the inside is amazing! Huge dashboard, glass roof, auto sun screen and 16 speakers. Car has almost 300 hp and drives very nice - the only thing to that has bothered me, is a noise at cold start - that Hyundai doesn't recognize enough to fix... and why I probably won't get another Hyundai again... since they stopped with this model
