What Problems Does the 2015 Hyundai Azera Have?

Frequently reported problems for the 2015 Hyundai Azera include issues with the navigation system freezing or malfunctioning. Some owners have reported electrical issues, such as problems with the infotainment screen or sensors. Premature wear of certain interior components, like the leather seats, has also been noted. There have been some recalls related to potential engine stalling issues and brake light switch malfunctions, so checking the vehicle's VIN for recall status is crucial. Long-term reliability concerns primarily revolve around the durability of electronic components and the potential for increased repair costs as the vehicle ages. The 2015 model year, while generally reliable, shares similar issues with other years in the Azera's production run, particularly concerning electrical glitches and sensor malfunctions. Regular maintenance, especially fluid changes and inspections of electrical systems, is recommended to mitigate potential long-term issues. Always check the NHTSA website for the latest recall information.

How long will the 2015 Hyundai Azera last?

Based on owner data and typical maintenance habits, a 2015 Hyundai Azera can reasonably be expected to provide 150,000 to 200,000 miles or 10-15 years of service. Long-term durability is generally good with regular maintenance. However, potential weaknesses over time include increased likelihood of electrical system malfunctions, wear and tear on suspension components, and potential transmission issues at higher mileage. Proper maintenance, including timely oil changes and addressing any unusual noises or vibrations promptly, can significantly extend the vehicle's lifespan.

2015 Hyundai Azera Prices and Market Value

The 2015 Hyundai Azera had a starting MSRP of around $34,000 when new. Used market prices currently range from approximately $12,000 to $18,000, depending on condition, mileage, and trim. The Azera has experienced significant depreciation, which is typical for full-size sedans. Factors affecting resale value include the vehicle's condition, mileage, maintenance history, and whether it has the more desirable Limited trim with additional features. Lower mileage and a well-documented service history will command higher resale prices.

The 2015 Hyundai Azera's insurance costs are moderate, generally comparable to other full-size sedans. Fuel costs are average for a V6-powered car. Maintenance costs are relatively reasonable, with Hyundai parts being generally affordable. However, potential repairs to the car's electrical systems can be costly. reasonable repair costs.

How Does the 2015 Hyundai Azera Compare to Other Sedan?

The 2015 Hyundai Azera competes with models like the Toyota Avalon, Buick LaCrosse, and Ford Taurus. In terms of performance, the Azera offers comparable horsepower to its rivals, but the Avalon might feel slightly more responsive. Feature-wise, the Azera provides a generous array of standard equipment, often undercutting competitors in price. Reliability is generally good, though the Avalon typically scores higher in long-term reliability surveys. The LaCrosse offers a more luxurious interior feel, while the Taurus provides more powerful engine options.
Alternatives to consider include:
* **Toyota Avalon:** Excellent reliability and resale value, but potentially higher priced.
* **Buick LaCrosse:** More luxurious interior and quiet ride, but potentially higher maintenance costs.
* **Ford Taurus:** Stronger engine options and available all-wheel drive, but less fuel-efficient.
If reliability is the top priority, the Toyota Avalon is a better alternative. If luxury is desired, the Buick LaCrosse is a strong contender. However, the Azera provides a compelling balance of features, performance, and value, making it a worthy choice for budget-conscious buyers.

Final Verdict: Is the 2015 Hyundai Azera a Good Sedan?

The 2015 Hyundai Azera is ideal for buyers seeking a spacious and well-equipped full-size sedan at a reasonable price. It's worth buying, particularly on the used market, for its value proposition. The Limited trim is recommended due to its enhanced safety and luxury features. Potential buyers should have a pre-purchase inspection performed by a qualified mechanic to identify any potential issues, especially concerning electrical components. If you prioritize reliability above all else, other alternatives might be a better fit. However, for those who want a comfortable ride and plenty of features for the money, the Azera is a solid choice.

It is an excellent car for the money!

We like the styling inside and out! Has smooth ride and lots of power! It gets 34 to 35 mpg on the highway. And we really like the morracan pearl paint color as well as the tan and brown interior colors. Good electronics too!

Affordable luxury

Recently purchased a 2015, the second Azera I've owned. The first was a 2012 I traded in on a huge SUV, didn't like the truck feel and went back to the Azera. Yep I love this vehicle for a lot of reasons. The V-6 has great power combined with an extremely smooth 6 speed auto/manual transmission. The Limited comes with 19" wheels, who needs them? Low profile tires stiffen the ride and this ain't no sports car. That is my only complaint. The interior is nicely done, seat fabric is soft to the touch making it quite comfortable. Gauges are easy to read and the car is loaded with safety features too numerous to mention. The Infinity audio system is superb helped out by the silent ride. There is little wind noise or engine feedback when cruising. Everything just works the way you'd expect from the nav system to the set & forget climate control. Of course you pay more for excellence, too bad it hasn't received better acceptance by the public.

Had to Have It

I drove a Sonata as a rental car for a week in Las Vegas. My husband wanted me to have a V-6, so within a week, I had a new 2015 Azera. The interior is beautiful and quite functional with everything within a very short reach. The exterior is sporty and sleek in Venetian Red. The ride is so smooth, and comfortable. There is plenty of power from the engine and I am getting 23.5-24.5 MPG in town. I am very impressed and pleased with my Azera.

Glad I waited

All I can say is WOW. This car is amazing. I am shocked more people don't drive these (but also glad because everywhere I go someone always asks what it is). The exterior somewhat resembles the old Sonata body style; but if you really look, there are tons of differences. Much more sleek. The interior is gorgeous. I have the 2015 Base Azera and there is nothing "base" about it. There is a huge difference between the Base 2014 and 2015 so make sure to check both. Leather, nav., backup camera, cooled and heated front seats (driver and passenger), heated rear seat, hands free truck open, 14 speaker Infinity sound system, 18 inch tires, power adjustable steering wheel w/ easy in and out function and more. Plenty of power with the 3.3 V6. Does drive with a more sports suspension, not soft like the Genesis. Tons of interior room including the back seats.
