The Good
The 2010 Azera offered a smooth and competent performance, focusing on comfortable cruising. Its reliability was generally good for its time. The spacious interior provided a comfortable ride for passengers. While not groundbreaking, the design was attractive. From a practical perspective, its strongest suit was its value proposition, offering numerous features for the price. Emotionally, it provided a sense of luxury without the premium price tag.
The Bad
Potential weaknesses of the 2010 Azera included its fuel economy, which wasn't class-leading. Some owners reported issues with the navigation system (if equipped) and minor electrical glitches. The car's handling was comfort-oriented rather than sporty. Be sure to inspect for signs of rust, especially in areas prone to corrosion. Also, check for proper operation of all electronic features.

What Problems Does the 2010 Hyundai Azera Have?
Check for any open recalls on the NHTSA website. Recalls would typically address safety-related concerns and should be rectified by a Hyundai dealer free of charge. Long-term reliability concerns are typical of any older vehicle. Watch for signs of rust, particularly underneath the car and around wheel wells. Regular maintenance, including oil changes and fluid checks, is crucial to maximizing the Azera's lifespan.
It's also important to thoroughly inspect the car's service history. A well-maintained Azera is more likely to be a reliable purchase than one that has been neglected. Pay attention to the condition of the tires, brakes, and other wear items, as these can be indicators of how well the vehicle was cared for.
How long will the 2010 Hyundai Azera last?
What Technology & Safety Features are Included?
Driver-assistance features were relatively limited compared to modern cars but included standard cruise control. Safety features included antilock brakes (ABS), traction control, electronic stability control (ESC), and a comprehensive set of airbags, including front, side, and side-curtain airbags.
Optional features might include a sunroof, heated seats, and leather upholstery. Crash-test ratings from the IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) and NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) should be checked to evaluate its performance in simulated collisions. These ratings can provide valuable insights into the Azera's safety capabilities.
While the Azera lacks advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) like lane departure warning or automatic emergency braking, its standard safety features provided a reasonable level of protection for its era. The availability of a navigation system, though optional, was a significant selling point for many buyers.

How Does the 2010 Hyundai Azera Compare to Other Vehicle?
Reliability-wise, the Avalon generally had a stronger reputation, while the LaCrosse and Taurus were more comparable to the Azera. Price was a significant advantage for the Azera, typically undercutting its competitors. If reliability is a top priority, the Toyota Avalon might be a better alternative, although at a higher price on the used market. The Buick LaCrosse offers a similar level of comfort and features, while the Ford Taurus provides a more modern design (especially for later model years).
Ultimately, the best alternative depends on individual priorities. If value is paramount, the Azera remains a compelling choice. However, if reliability or specific features are more important, exploring the alternatives mentioned above would be wise. Each offers a slightly different balance of attributes.

Love my "new" car! This 2010 Hyundai Azera is very roomy for 4 people - lots of head and leg room. The interior is lovely and comfortable, and the exterior styling is elegant and classic. It has an extremely smooth ride and acceleration, and is very responsive in its handling. I'm really happy with my "new" car!

Great ValueGreat fit and finish in and out. I don't think there is a better highway cruser for the money. I'm used to European cars and the turning radius is not as tight, making it tough in Montgomery County's tight parking lots.
