The Good
The 2020 Eclipse Cross offers a comfortable ride and distinctive design that appeals to emotional buyers. Its available all-wheel control provides confident handling. Practical buyers appreciate its competitive price, decent fuel efficiency, and comprehensive warranty. While not a performance leader, it provides adequate power for daily driving and a user-friendly interior.
The Bad
Potential weaknesses of the 2020 Eclipse Cross include its somewhat underpowered engine, which can feel strained during acceleration or when fully loaded. The rear visibility can be limited due to the split rear window design. Some may find the infotainment system less intuitive than competitors. It's wise to check for any potential CVT transmission issues or electrical glitches during pre-purchase inspection.

What Problems Does the 2020 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Have?
Another area of concern can be the infotainment system. Some users have reported glitches, slow response times, or connectivity problems with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Software updates may address some of these issues, but they can still be a point of frustration for some owners.
Other reported issues include occasional electrical problems, such as sensor malfunctions or issues with the climate control system. Some owners have also mentioned concerns about the durability of certain interior components, like the seat upholstery. It is important to check the car's history for recalls. Checking the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) website will give you the most up-to-date recall information. Pre-purchase inspections by a qualified mechanic can help identify potential problems before buying a used 2020 Eclipse Cross. Generally, Mitsubishi has a reputation for reliability, but these areas should be considered.

How Does the 2020 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Compare to Other Minivan?
Price is where the Eclipse Cross shines, often undercutting competitors. However, the RAV4 and CR-V offer better resale value. The Mazda CX-5 offers a more engaging driving experience and a more upscale interior. The Subaru Crosstrek provides standard all-wheel drive and is a good option for those prioritizing off-road capability and value.
Alternatives to consider might include the Mazda CX-5 for a more refined driving experience, the Honda CR-V or Toyota RAV4 for superior reliability and resale value, or the Subaru Crosstrek for standard all-wheel drive at a lower price point. Each alternative depends on individual priorities.

Greatest Car I Have Ever OwnedI just bought his car in June. Unfortunately for me someone hit my right front fender and it was in the body shop for 3 weeks. I love the comfort and how intuitive the interior is. Things are just in the right place. For me the 2020 is the perfect size. I had a DodgeJourney that just didn’t fit int my carport. I can pull this int the parking spot and have plenty of room. I do believe this is the favorite car I have ever bought and it looks sweet.

Horrible choiceMy family was highly upset that I chose Mitsubishi in the first place due to there only being two service repairs shops in northeastern OH. After visiting the location and doing research they advised me several times that I was making the wrong decision. Based on reviews of the dealer my dad would not co-sign. I convinced him that I really wanted the 2020 cross and that everything would be fine after being convinced by my sales rep. My father said ok and agreed to co-sign for me. Red flag, I spent over 20 mins arguing with the sales rep to make my paper work numbers match for the down payment. Red flag my dad had changed his mind again and had me return the vehicle right before we signed and said he had a bad feeling. I convinced him to change his mind. Red flag the sales rep told me I had 45 days to pay car note which I only had 30 days from signing to pay it. We went back and forth and after he got irritated from me calling him a lier then the due date was changed making my car note higher. Red flag I took the vehicle home and on 12.1.2020 the engine stared idling on its own and I knew something was wrong I contacted finance they had me call services for 1 week no answer kept getting put back in que. Red flag on 12.6.2020 the check engine light came on for cam shaft. I called them first thing 12.7.2020 and was giving the run around and listened to everyone say that’s not my area keep calling services. Services answered and said that they were available 12.16.2020 and the second location available 12.15.2020. I became highly upset brand new vehicle off show floor and I have to wait for service after being promised by sales rep to pull the vehicle in and it will be top priority because it was brand new. Red flag I contacted my finance company and asked out of the contract they said it was to late but reached out to the dealer for me to get me better assistance. After being transferred 5times to a voicemail finance was irritated that she called making the statement “I didn’t know you hold the clients hand after closing the deal†finally I was called lier and told to drop the vehicle off at 9am on 12.9.2020 for them to test it. Point is I should not have never purchased this vehicle and I’ve made the biggest mistake of my life. I wish I could give the vehicle back and walk away. I could go on but no more space.
