The Good
The 2018 Tucson offers a comfortable ride and attractive design (emotional). It's considered reliable, provides good fuel efficiency, and represents excellent value for money (practical). Performance is adequate for daily driving. Overall, it strikes a good balance between features and affordability.
The Bad
Potential weaknesses include the base engine's somewhat lackluster acceleration. Some owners have reported issues with the dual-clutch transmission in the Eco trim. Also, the infotainment system, while functional, isn't the most modern compared to rivals. Check for recalls and service history.

Worst car I've ever owned.Worst car I've ever owned. Bought used with low mileage and was fine for about 6 months, then had to replace the timing chain and a bunch of parts. Then it started running badly and burning oil. Hyundai charged a bunch of money to do a combustion change and made me come back every 1000 miles and took thousands of dollars in repair and gave us a run around and wanted to charge to do it again. It stopped running in the middle of the road the day before my teens and friends were to take it to the beach. Traded it in immediately losing a lot of money. Spend more for a Toyota.

Verificar recallLo compré desde nuevo. Excelente vehÃÂculo. Pero la pintura del bonete se está embolsado y despegando. Quiero saber si va haber un RECALL para este defecto ya que he visto muchas asÃÂ.

Testimony of a Hynudai Tuscon SEL OwnerI have read some of the reviews on here and I am gonna be real honest. I 've owned my Tuscon for 1 .5 years and before I made my 2nd payment the motor did blow; however, Hyundai was taken to court for a class action lawsuit for the engine malfunction and has made good on their mistake. So, hyundai has one of the better warranties I've seen in my 35 years. They not only replaced my my motor for free but also paid my rental the entire time my car was in their shop. Now, since I've gotten my car back it's been pretty reliable and I drive it hard. I've put about 40,000 miles on Caliche back roads and highways to get to town & on the highways i drive about 85mph. We live in rural south texas and we have kamikaze animals. My husband has hit 3 deer, 1 skunk, and 2 armadillos and I've hit one deer, 2 rabbits and countless dove. The only damage I have had happen to my car is a crack in my bumper and a tiny crack in the headlight assembly. It's built better than the dodge journey that almost got totaled by a jack rabbit. Now. The inside the cloth stains easily with children and the little silver lining tape around the screen chips off my biggest complaint and the one thing I haven't taken to replace is the middle console lid/ arm rest. The material that's meant to look like leather or whatever melts if the temperature outside is too hot and the part to fix it through hyundai is $400. The outrageous price on that part is probably my biggest problem with the car. The seats aren't terrible to sit in for any length of time. So I took the median out of my score and that's how I got my 3 ☆rating on my 2018 SEL Tuscon. The only reason I'm want away from my tuscon is I want something bigger.

Love my TucsonWe purchased it our Tucson new in 2018 other than routine maintenance we haven't had to spend any money for repair concerning the running of the vehicle. It's stylish on the outside and the interior looks great, it's quiet when running and has a awesome sound system

Bad EnginesEngine failure at 73000 miles. Vehicle has been maintained flawlessly since new. Due to parts shortages engine replacement took 6 weeks. Vehicle also experienced severe oil consumption problems as well as stalling and engine noises before engine replacement. Hyundai is having a lot of problems with their engines and as a result of these issues resale values have also been affected.

2018 Hyundai Tucson Best SUV Ever!!!!Our 2018 Hyundai Tucson came with the Best in class Warranty of a 5 Years Engine and Powertrain. I love the Platinum Extended Warranty my Wife and I purchased for a mere $2100 CAD, which covers our 2018 Tucson bumper to bumper for all moving parts, which can be repaired for Only $100+Taxes!! The standard heated seats front and back are excellent for Canadian Winters. The engine is so easy to clean and keep clean, as are the Air Filters to change. 😊ðŸ‘Â😎 The worse thing about our 2018 Hyundai Tucson is the heavy Key Fob, which I wish you could replace with a lighter weight FOB, it's the heaviest Key FOB I have ever held in my hands and pockets.😤

Third times a charm when it comes to engines!Lots of engine trouble, lots of money out of pocket, lots of love for my Tucson. 2018 Tucson bought used with 15K miles on it. Perfect ride, great in wet weather, AC kicks butt, I'm in South Texas, feels safe, I totaled a 2016 previously and came out unscathed. The only thing that's been negative is the fact that I'm on the third engine. Lol. The Gemma engines had issues with debris from the cam shaft staying in the engine and I had a blockage in the OG engine that led to overheating issues and eventually warped the block. Didn't know about the engine issue and just bought a new motor. After about 6 months the second motor, used from a wrecked Tucson, threw a rod and blew up due to debris killing a bearing. Found out about engine issues and bought a resurfaced and rebuilt engine and it's smooth sailing again. I ride this car hard and it answers the call day in and day out.
