The Good
The 2014 Tucson offered good value for money with a long warranty, appealing to practical buyers. Its stylish design and comfortable ride provided emotional appeal. While not a performance leader, it offered adequate power for daily driving, reasonable fuel efficiency, and decent reliability ratings for its class.
The Bad
Potential weaknesses of the 2014 Tucson include somewhat lackluster acceleration with the base engine. Some owners reported issues with the transmission and suspension components over time. The interior materials, while functional, may not feel as premium as some competitors. Rust can also be a concern in regions with harsh winters, so inspect the undercarriage.

What Problems Does the 2014 Hyundai Tucson Have?
Recalls for the 2014 Tucson have addressed issues such as potential brake light switch malfunctions, which could affect the operation of the brake lights and cruise control. It's essential to check the vehicle's VIN on the NHTSA website to determine if it has been subject to any recalls and if the necessary repairs have been performed.
Long-term reliability concerns center around the durability of the transmission and suspension components. Some owners have experienced issues with these systems after several years of use. Rust can also be a problem in regions with road salt, especially on the undercarriage and suspension parts. Keeping up with recommended maintenance and addressing any problems promptly can help mitigate these concerns. Check for any service records to ensure regular oil changes were performed as the lack thereof has been known to cause problems.

How Does the 2014 Hyundai Tucson Compare to Other Wagon?
Price is a strong point for the Tucson, often undercutting competitors on the used market. However, the CR-V and RAV4 are generally considered more reliable and hold their value better. The Mazda CX-5 offers a sportier driving experience and more refined interior.
Alternatives to consider include the Honda CR-V for its reliability and resale value, the Toyota RAV4 for its practicality and dependability, and the Mazda CX-5 for a more engaging driving experience. If budget is a primary concern, the Tucson represents a decent value, but be prepared for potentially higher repair costs down the line.

Hyundai recallsWhen I first got the car it seemed like a good car. But the motor had to be replaced around 60,000 miles now there's a recall that they don't know how to fix I'm supposed to park it outside away from structures but the sunroof is stuck open so what am I supposed to do park inside and possibly burn my house down or park outside and let it rain in the car

Sporty and Stylish, but buyer bewareLoved the look and feel of my Tucson! Beware, they're prone to engine failure! Mine was replaced and thankfully It was still under warranty. Another disappointment, the Top coat of paint started peeling at 4 years old.

Clean, leather seats, very reliable. This is a great car. I love the back-up camera, heated seats, no smoking in, very low mileage, fast and safe for my little one. The back seats go all The way down or part way. I sit higher, has a slap-shift. Great car!

Cutest bang for your buck!If you're wanting all the bells and whistles m, but not willing to pay for them, the Tucson SE is the best way to go. You take care of your Hyundai, it will take care if you!

Excellent Vehicle All AroundBought this car CPO with 30,000 miles for $18,500. Excellent deal! Car now has 72,000 miles, only have replaced tires. Maintain this vehicle myself. All fluids and filters are easy to change. Using only premium fuel (not required) and the most expensive fluids/filters available, I average 25 MPG city/hwy. 28MPG average on long highway drives. Trunk is small, but this is a compact SUV after all. Suspension may be stiff for your liking, but handling is impressively athletic for this class. Luxury details are impressive for the class. My fully loaded Limited AWD has navigation, Bluetooth, panoramic roof, REAL leather, heated seats, keyless drive, and more. Would buy again!

The dealership at Crown Kia was nice.Though I purchased it at Crown Kia. Luke and Justin was nice to let me test drive the Tuscan there bc I did not like Crown Hyundai worker there. They brought over the car and provided all my mandatories I want in car. No pressure on any other car brands.

great college carMy daughter loved it! Brought tears to her eyes. Everything is better on this than the junk car she was driving. Nav, CD, Bluetooth, good tires, sturdy steering, good gas mileage, backup camera, even the speakers work! Γ°à ¸ΓΕΓΒ. That's important to a music major. There's room to tote her Bass to the Jazz Lab. She is a very happy camper! Seriously, though, a "Walking Dead Special Edition" vehicle?
