How Does the 2013 BMW X5 Compare to Other Sport Utility Vehicle?
In terms of price, the X5 falls in the mid-range within its class.
Alternatives to consider include:
- Lexus RX: Known for reliability and comfort, but less sporty.
- Mercedes-Benz ML-Class: A balanced competitor with similar luxury and performance.
- Audi Q7: Offers more passenger space, especially in the third row.
- Acura MDX: More affordable and generally more reliable, but less luxurious.
If reliability is a top priority, the Lexus RX or Acura MDX are better choices. If sporty handling and driving dynamics are preferred, the X5 or ML-Class are good options. The Q7 is best for those needing a more spacious third row.

Great service from Brandon Powe Luxury Car OutletI worked with Brandon Powe on a BMW purchase. Not only was he extremely professional and knowledgeable, he also provided amazing post purchase assistance with my desired modifications. Iāve referred two people since my purchase and they all appreciate Brandonās top tier salesmanship. Iāll definitely be back when the time is right.

Emissions lightThis is the X5d and I have had years of intermittent issues with emissions warning lights coming on and sometimes it came on on my way home from the BMW service department when that is the reason I took it to them. The light came on again and now Iām told the filter needs replacing and the part is $3500 and Iām sure the labor will be close to $2000. I have 125000 miles on the car so thinking it should not be a problem but the value of the car may be so low that putting this kind of money in it would be worth it. Getter rid of the car with this problem is likely a big loss situation. Donāt know what to do. Is there a recall for this that I donāt know about? I bought this car with about 20000 miles on it from the dealer. Thanks.
