Best car I’ve ever owned. I bought it used with 10k miles for $17.5k in 2018. I’ve drove for Lyft for 2 years and recently drove it from California to South Carolina. It’s has never broke down, had to replace the tires a few times but nothing but basic maintenance. I’m at 112k miles and going strong. One small accident the other 2 cars were totaled mine had minor damage on the front driver side. I love my VW.

The VW Tiguan is a 4 wheel drive that makes it so helpful during the Winter months. When folding down the back seats, anything can be transported! Bikes, furniture, etc.... It is a sized SUV for those of us who are more comfortable driving a car that is not large. It is a sharp looking car with a lot of power!! This is our 4th Volkswagen!!!

Lemon 🍋 Clock spring has had to be replaced. The part was back ordered and took 8 months to come in. VW did pay for a rental during that time. The water pump had to be replaced due to a coolant leak issue that is now in a class action lawsuit but I paid out of pocket and was not reimbursed. Replaced battery 3 times already because of bad alternator and there's only 92,000 miles on the vehicle. There's been other issues also. Fun to drive but not when there's so many issues that could leave you stranded somewhere.

Not Reliable, expensive to own

Nothing but problem after problem, worst car I have ever had for reliability, It is a shame because it looks nice, but that's about all it is, a pretty face, always something wrong with it and getting parts is a nightmare. DO NOT GET ONE

Unreliable

I have done all of the recommended maintenance, regular oil changes, etc. However, this car started to fall apart. Should have listened to everyone who said VWs are pieces of $&*@. Not to mention the parts are expensive. Never buying a VW again.

Best car I’ve ever owned

What a piece of crap.

Worst purchase I ever made. Car has broken down twice leaving me stranded in traffic on freeway. VW service dept is terrible. Cannot seem to get it fixed properly.charged me over $4000 to fix it last time. It is still not right. All electrical systems in steering wheel are inoperable. Runs terrible. Airbag light will not turn off. Have to take it back tomorrow to fix what I already paid to fix once.

DONT BUY

Blower Fan and resistor had to be replaced at 90000 miles, clock spring on recall backorder, cant deactivate TPMS warning light now, air bag light always on now, none of the steering wheel controls work. Can only reset maintenance required light by going to dealer now with computer to clear the code. Even for a oil change.

Very sporty - felt like a GTI only bigger

I bought this car new in Miami after my CR-V was totaled. I've owned at least one VW since 1974 and currently own a 2018 Beetle sedan and a 2019 Beetle Final Edition SEL convertible. I loved to drive the 2010 Tiguan SEL until I reached the 105,000 mile mark and the instrument panel failed and had to be replaced (which was not cheap). I got it fixed and my neighbor finally convinced me to sell it to him. I miss that vehicle and will test drive the new TAOS when it is available.

Ford expedition

I have a car from carhop. And i had to have so many repairs done. I'm paying $320 for a ford escape yr 2005, and the 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan SUV i bought is going to be $60 more. I had planned on trade my ford in but it wasn't worth anything. I was so happy that I got approved to be get this nice car a 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan. So thankful
