The Good
The 2017 Tiguan offers a responsive and engaging driving experience (performance) that appeals to enthusiasts. It boasts a comfortable ride and upscale interior (comfort, design). For practical buyers, it provides decent fuel economy and a manageable size for city driving (efficiency, value). While not class-leading in reliability, it's generally dependable with proper maintenance.
The Bad
Weaknesses of the 2017 Tiguan include its relatively small cargo area compared to rivals and its somewhat dated infotainment system. Some owners have reported issues with the timing chain tensioner, requiring attention. Fuel economy, while acceptable, isn't class-leading. The rear seat legroom can also be a bit tight for taller passengers.

How Does the 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan Compare to Other Wagon?
In terms of reliability, the CR-V and RAV4 generally score higher. Feature-wise, the competition is fierce, with most offering similar tech and safety features. For those prioritizing reliability and cargo space, the Honda CR-V or Toyota RAV4 might be better choices. For those seeking a more sporty driving experience and don't mind potentially higher maintenance costs, the Tiguan or Mazda CX-5 are worth considering. The Ford Escape represents a balanced alternative.

My door handle on my hatchback has been repaired andMy door handle on my hatchback has been repaired and replaced two times and now is gone again. It is a 2017 Wolfsburg and I am not pleased with the cost of 1200. I wouldnβt mind but they are only lasting two years. Ridiculous. Canβ use my hatchback.

DisappointedThis car has given me problems since I had it. Itβs expensive to repair. Itβs difficult to repair. It has something breaking all the time! All the time!!! Not worth any money!!!! If the car ran as good as the accessories and interior and paint, weβd have a WINNER, but NOT

A 'low key' performerTiguan like most VWs show their superior stability and control in bad weather, cornering and higher speed. That is compared with my other car (Crosstrek).

Excellent, comfortable & drives well, great value! This is a very nice car. Quite comfortable & plenty of room (I'm 6' tall). Drives well with good handling, plenty of power when needed, and with 4Motion AWD, goes great in snow. Very reasonably priced for what you get.

So Stylish and So FunIβm obsessed with this car. The corn silk leather interior, the stylish exterior, and the zippy and fun way it drives are all a huge plus. And I was able to get a great deal on one with low mileage.
