The Good
The 2019 Hyundai Accent offers exceptional value for money. Its practical advantages include good fuel efficiency and a relatively comfortable ride for its size. The stylish design, especially in higher trims, appeals to emotional buyers, while its perceived reliability and comprehensive warranty provide peace of mind.
The Bad
Weaknesses of the 2019 Hyundai Accent include its somewhat underpowered engine, which can struggle with acceleration, especially when fully loaded. The rear seats can feel cramped for taller passengers. Also, the base SE trim lacks some desirable features. Potential buyers should inspect the transmission for any unusual shifting behavior.

Analysis
What Problems Does the 2019 Hyundai Accent Have?
Another potential concern is with the infotainment system; some users have reported occasional glitches or slow response times. Check the functionality of the touchscreen and connectivity features during a pre-purchase inspection.
While not widespread, there have been some reports of engine issues, such as excessive oil consumption, though these are less common. Regular oil changes and maintenance are crucial to mitigate such risks.
Regarding recalls, it's important to check the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) website for any open recalls related to the specific VIN of the vehicle. This will provide information on any safety-related issues that need to be addressed. Long-term reliability appears to be average for the subcompact class. Consistent maintenance and addressing minor issues promptly can contribute to the vehicle's longevity.

What Technology & Safety Features are Included?
Driver-assistance features are more prevalent in the Limited trim, which includes forward collision mitigation. Other safety features include standard airbags, anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control, and traction control. Higher trims may offer features like automatic headlights.
Entertainment is primarily handled by the infotainment system, which provides access to radio, media playback, and smartphone integration. Optional features may include a USB port for charging and connectivity.
Crash test ratings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) should be checked for specific scores. The 2019 Accent generally performed well in crash tests, but it's crucial to verify the ratings to ensure it meets your safety expectations. Keep in mind that safety ratings can vary depending on the specific testing criteria.

How Does the 2019 Hyundai Accent Compare to Other Hatchback?
Feature-wise, the Accent provides a decent selection, especially in the higher trims, often surpassing the base versions of its rivals. Reliability is generally good, on par with the Rio and Versa. The Mirage has a reputation for being less reliable.
Price is a key selling point for the Accent, offering competitive pricing throughout the trim levels. Alternatives to consider include the Kia Rio for its similar features and warranty, and the Honda Fit (if available in the used market) for its superior versatility and cargo space. The Nissan Versa is also a viable option for budget-conscious buyers.
For buyers prioritizing fuel economy above all else, the Mitsubishi Mirage might be considered despite its other shortcomings. However, for a better-rounded package of value, features, and reliability, the Accent or Rio are often better choices.

2019 Hyundai Accent Sedan SEL PreferredI was given this car from my mother after having a liver transplant in order to get to and from medical appointment ring an automotive mechanic, I find this car well designed, and ease of service The only complaint I have with this vehicle is the unsteadiness on the hiway and the car is quite easily blown around in high wind. The cruise control acc/dec +-, malfunction often but still works. Car could have had an ashtray but unfortunately does not. Other than that it's a great car and I'd recommend it, I've gotten 4L/100kms Hwy.

Great car for the price! This is a perfect car for me. I use it to commute to and from work and occasionally for longer distance travel. It's a very peppy little car. The design of the dashboard is outstanding - very intuitive and easy to read. The rear passenger section of the car is quite tight. Better for children than adults. Overall, a great value for the price I paid.

New ownerI recently bought a new 2019 hatch base model. The last 2019 on the lot. I should of looked it over better as all the info I could find online said air, cruise etc were standard features. I went to look at it in a massive snow storm and checked it out very briefly. Lesson learned. I did the paper work and went back the next week to pick it up. Turns out those are not standard features. Also I have about 1600kms on it now. All highway driving and it only gets about 33m.p.g when driven conservatively. It does have a little more power then I was expecting it to though. Cheap transportation overall so far I guess.
