Great Car With Over 200,000 MilesWe retired and sold our cars, cashing out the equity. We then bought a 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe with 190,000 miles. We did some deferred maintenance on it - and a new timing belt. Well a year later, this thing is flawless. It's got 205,000 miles on it now, everything works. It's comfortable, the V6 has good power. Would definitely buy this car all over again. It is an interference engine. Do NOT break the timing belt.

20 years still good.Had a 2002 petrol santa fe torque converter automatic for 20 years.. Never any problem except poor fuel consumption and in the UK a punitive tax. Still going strong.. No corrosion and looking good.

I've beaten the crap out of this little toy suvAnd to be honest I can not think of another more reliable vehicle I've ever owned I payed 300 for this suv and I didnt do it for the looks I hated this thing .........then I had to pull a full size dodge 4x4 out of a muddy pit A FULL SIZED 4X4 this all wheel drive will shock the %@%@out of you and it tows anything,bottom line I would highly recommend this vehicle

My first Hyundai vehicle.When I bought this used little SUV I was looking for another Toyota Highlander. The comparable Toyotas were just flat out too much money. The Highlander I previously owned needed bunch of sense or replaced, some mechanical repairs over a 2yr ownership. The Hyundai was much less money, and after replacing Struts, CV axles, valve cover gasket, a leaky transmission cooler, and a Electronic Coolant temperature sensor the cost was still less than the Toyota. But, I had new parts on a 10k SUV. After 15k miles the Hyundai is a much more enjoyable traveler. No complaints and everything works.

Want my car back!**I was coming home from work in mine...and with no warning...my Sante Fe quit..had to pull it home...it still won't crank..the key won't crank it.

It's extremely reliable gets me where I need to goThis car has everything I need and it's the best out of all the cars I've had specifically because it's AWD you have more control when driving and it's a comfortable car.

Was the best car I have owned.This car exceeded allnof my expectations. Drove it on several long distance trips. made sure to keep routine maintenance on schedule. Had close to 200,000 miles when I had an accident. I'd still be driving it if I had not had an accident.

CRYINGI bought my 2002 Sante Fe in Dec of 2001. I have 215000 Miles on it, Sadly, I must give it up. Its getting to the point that I have to fix a lot of minor stuff frequently. This has been the most reliable, dependable auto I have ever owned. I have, in 14 years, done nothing other than routine maintenance on it. Its gotten me through many Chicagoland winters intact. I have never gotten stuck or even slid in it. I am buying the New (2016) Hyundai Tucson when it comes out this fall. I only hope that the new one gives me as many years of pleasurable, trustworthy driving as the 2002 Hyundai Sante Fe did.

I'll drive it for ever if I canI bought this car used with about 40K on it. I now have 227K and have virtually no problems, just routine maintenance. I love not having a car payment. I will keep my Santa Fe until she say "put me to sleep, I served you well". Once a year I take a long trip of 2,500 miles and never suffer from lack of room or comfort This is the most reliable car I have ever owned..
