Key trims include the L, LE, and XLE. The pricing range typically spans from the low $20,000s to around $30,000. Its appeal lies in its blend of Corolla's reliability with the added space and higher driving position of an SUV, making it an attractive option for small families and urban dwellers.

What Problems Does the 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross Have?

The 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross, being a relatively new model, doesn't have a long history of widespread, frequently reported problems. However, some owners have reported minor issues such as infotainment system glitches or slow responsiveness. The 2.0-liter engine, while reliable, can feel underpowered, especially when the vehicle is fully loaded with passengers and cargo.

Recalls, if any, should be checked via the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) website using the vehicle's VIN. As a Toyota product, long-term reliability is generally considered a strength, but potential areas of concern to monitor over time might include the hybrid system's battery health (for hybrid models), the longevity of electronic components, and wear and tear on suspension components given its crossover nature and potential for light off-road use.

It's important to note that the Corolla Cross is built on a proven platform, so major mechanical failures are less likely. Regular maintenance, as per Toyota's recommendations, will be crucial for maximizing its lifespan and preventing potential issues. Before purchasing a used 2023 model, checking its maintenance history is highly advisable. Check online forums and owner reviews for any emerging trends or specific issues reported by other owners. Early model years of any vehicle can sometimes have minor teething problems, so staying informed is essential.

How long will the 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross last?

With proper maintenance, the 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross is expected to provide well over 200,000 miles or 15+ years of service. Toyota's reputation for reliability suggests strong long-term durability. Following the recommended maintenance schedule, including regular oil changes, fluid checks, and timely replacements of wear items like brakes and tires, is crucial. Potential long-term weaknesses may involve the infotainment system's responsiveness over time, potential battery degradation in hybrid models, and suspension component wear, especially with frequent use on rough roads. Careful driving habits and preventative maintenance will contribute significantly to its longevity.

What Technology & Safety Features are Included?

The 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross comes standard with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system (8-inch on higher trims) featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Available features include a premium JBL sound system, wireless charging, and a power liftgate.

Regarding driver-assistance and safety features, all trims include Toyota Safety Sense, which encompasses a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, dynamic radar cruise control, automatic high beams, and road sign assist. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is standard on LE and XLE trims. Parking assist with automatic braking is available on the XLE.

Crash test ratings from organizations like the NHTSA and IIHS should be consulted for the most up-to-date information. Typically, Toyota vehicles perform well in these tests. These ratings assess the vehicle's ability to protect occupants in various crash scenarios. Optional features like adaptive headlights and a surround-view camera system enhance safety further.

The integration of smartphone connectivity is seamless, making navigation and entertainment easily accessible. Voice recognition allows for hands-free control of certain functions. The suite of safety features provides an added layer of confidence for both the driver and passengers.

reasonable repair costs.

How Does the 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross Compare to Other Sport Utility Vehicle?

The 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross competes with vehicles like the Honda HR-V, Mazda CX-30, Subaru Crosstrek, and Hyundai Kona. In terms of reliability, the Corolla Cross stands out, aligning with Toyota's reputation. Performance-wise, some rivals like the Mazda CX-30 offer a more engaging driving experience with peppier engines. Feature-wise, the Corolla Cross provides a good balance of standard and available options, though some competitors might offer more advanced tech features at similar price points. Price-wise, it's competitive, often undercutting some rivals.

The Subaru Crosstrek offers standard all-wheel drive, which the Corolla Cross only offers as an option (standard with the hybrid). The Honda HR-V offers a slightly more spacious interior, while the Mazda CX-30 boasts a more premium feel and sportier handling.

Alternatives to consider would be the Subaru Crosstrek for those prioritizing all-wheel drive, the Mazda CX-30 for a more upscale and engaging driving experience, and the Kia Seltos for a blend of value and features. Fun to drive

Wow! I have the XLE with extras like the automatic tailgate left it really comes in handy. My Toyota Cross is fun to drive, handles well; and it is very quiet. I love the feel of the steering wheel as I go around the curve. There are lots of buttons and I haven’t had the time to figure out everything once I do it should be really easy as everything is within easy reach. There is a slight hesitation when you do a quick acceleration pulling into traffic I think that’s going to be a matter of getting used to. The sad mirrors are great. Easy to tell if something is beside of you and it sounds an alarm when there is a car next to you. If you have trouble getting in and out of cars, it is very easy to get in and out of and you sit up high so you can see traffic better. I do wish it had an engine cover and the hood fire blanket, I am planning to purchase that extra. I highly recommend the Toyota Corolla, Cross, or any other Toyota to anyone looking to purchase a new car.

Fabulous Car

A little slow on the pickup for parkway/expressway driving - but otherwise a fabulous car. Drove my last Corolla for almost 20 years with zero issues other than routine maintainance. Work with Colby Fiedler at Toyota of Massapequa for a great deal.

Toyota Cross 2023

I love my Corolla Cross. I can see the road better since my previous car was very low. The music sound is excellent! I am very pleased with it and would recommend to a friend. I trusted my salesperson Eric at Earl Stewart Toyota in NPB Fl. He went above and beyond anyone"s expectations. Toyota is lucky to have him. I am very pleased.

Best Crossover from Toyota

I have been following the Corolla Cross rollout in the U.S. after its debuted in Asia market. Other than the less sporty/high-powered engine, all great safty/smart driving functions/features are included in mine as MFG build-in already. I wish there would be more Corolla Cross Hybrids available, but Corolla Cross is already a great upgrade. Looking forward to the future Corolla Cross in EV or Hydrogen EV Hybrid.

Can never go wrong with a Corolla!

After driving a 2004 Corolla Sport for 19 years, I did not hesitate to invest in another Corolla, having full faith in its reliability. I absolutely love driving this car and look forward to each opportunity to do so. This is my first experience driving a car with current technology and while I am still adjusting to it, it is not overwhelming. My sales rep at Toyota of Massapequa (Colby Fiedler) has been fabulous pre, during and post sale. I am sorry that I waited until retirement to purchase this car - I’d have loved commuting in it.

A great Car, does everything a new car should.

Because of the unavailability of this model, your price estimate is way off. I purchased the top of the line, and paid almost 40K The car is wonderful, as all the Toyota's i have owned are.
