The Good
The 2011 Porsche Boxster offers a thrilling driving experience with its responsive handling and potent engines. It boasts iconic Porsche design, appealing to enthusiasts. While not the most practical, it offers decent fuel efficiency for a sports car. Its relative reliability (compared to some rivals) and solid build quality add to its value, attracting both emotional and practical buyers seeking fun and prestige.
The Bad
Potential weaknesses of the 2011 Porsche Boxster include IMS bearing failure (though less common in this generation), oil leaks, and potential issues with the convertible top mechanism. Watch out for bore scoring, especially in the S model. Pre-purchase inspections are crucial to assess the overall condition and maintenance history, particularly regarding these potential issues.

What Technology & Safety Features are Included?
Optional features included Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) for enhanced handling and the Sport Chrono Package, which added a sport mode and launch control (with PDK transmission).
Crash-test ratings from NHTSA or IIHS are not readily available for the 2011 Boxster specifically. However, Porsche vehicles generally have a strong reputation for safety. The car's well-engineered chassis and comprehensive safety systems contribute to its overall safety performance. It is crucial to remember that safety technology has significantly advanced since 2011, so compared to modern cars, the driver-assistance technology of a 2011 Boxster may seem outdated.

Best sports car for the money! The car is everything I would want in a sports car! Runs like a champ! You can feel the power and waiting to see what you want to do ! This is a true sports car and fun to drive ! Letting the top back takes the car to another level! I highly recommend this car to anyone that enjoy driving on the weekends or trips to get away!

Great fun for the moneyVery fun and surprisingly reliable. Known problems are somewhat commonplace but can be remedied. But pricey which is reflected in the price of the car. No other car I have driven matches the smiles and fun.

Best Handling Car I?ve Ever DrivenI have owned many vehicles during my lifetime, including Corvettes, Mini?s, Mustang, Charger, Challenger, etc. This 2011 Boxster is by far the best handing car I have ever driven. Hugs the road regardless of speed. Exhaust note as good as a Ferrari( with dual tip exhaust) at 1/4 the cost. Six speed manual is smooth and responsive. Mid gear power is insane. A fabulous car...!

Boxster Spyder! Rare and fun to drive! Get it now!If you can find one of these buy it now! They are just going to go up in price . 3.4 V6 and 6-speed manual is the way to go

2011 Porsche BoxsterGreat fun to drive with the top down in good weather. The car was absolutely bullet-proof. No recalls or issues in five years of ownership. I finally just got tired of the stiff ride on Midwest roads. However, there aren't many cars that handle as well as a Porsche Boxster or sound as exotic. This would make an awesome used car!

Amazing car!!!This car is the coolest most fun to drive car I have ever owned. I have had more compliments than all the other cars I have had combined.

Just keeps getting betterBoxsters have just improved with each iteration. Since all the hype is in the 718 cayman, these late model boxsters are pretty good for buyers.

An exciting car to own and driveI have owned many Sports Cars and feel that Porsche is the most enjoyable performance car I have driven. I am not into racing, but this car has great potential on the track. I selected the Boxster because I am very impressed with the mid-engine and the design of the model. It's handling performance and capabilities are a great enjoyment. My previous Boxster was very reliable mechanically. This newer model with the increased horse power and TDK automatic transmission is amazing. All I can say is: It is great fun!

2011 Porsche Boxster SpyderIf you are looking for a car with great looks, performance, history, and comfort you will find it in the 2011 & 2012 Boxster Spyder. I have rated a comfort as "4 stars" due to the fact that the car comes with carbon fiber racing seats, which aren't exactly comfortable for everyone, but everything is ergonomically placed around the cabin. The car is light at 2,811 lbs. and powerful with a 320 HP direct injection Flat 6 engine. The handling is incredible and may be one of the best of all time. Modeled after the original 550 Spyder/Giant Killer from the 50's, this car carry's the same "minimalist" character. Their are no 'creature comforts" beyond what you truly need to race around the twisty backroads and perfomance tracks. Yes...it has a manual top that takes about 2 minutes to install and store, but the overall sleak looks of the car, make it worth that little extra effort! A limited number were produced at an estimated 1,944 total for 2011 & 2012. You are not likely to see another one in your area!
