The Good
The 2015 Boxster excels in performance, delivering exhilarating handling and responsive acceleration. Its iconic Porsche design and open-top experience appeal emotionally, while relatively good reliability and decent fuel efficiency make it a practical choice. Comfortable seats and a well-appointed interior enhance the driving experience, and it holds its value well.
The Bad
Potential weaknesses in the 2015 Boxster include the cost of maintenance and repairs, which can be high. Watch out for potential oil leaks, particularly from the rear main seal. The infotainment system can feel dated compared to newer vehicles. Optional features drive up the price considerably, so be mindful of the original sticker price when evaluating used models.

What Problems Does the 2015 Porsche Boxster Have?
Recalls for the 2015 Boxster have been relatively limited, but it's always important to check the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) website for any outstanding recalls related to specific VINs. Long-term reliability largely depends on adherence to the recommended maintenance schedule. Neglecting maintenance can exacerbate potential issues and lead to more costly repairs down the line. Regularly servicing the car, using quality parts, and addressing problems promptly will contribute to its longevity.
How long will the 2015 Porsche Boxster last?
What Technology & Safety Features are Included?
Driver-assistance features were limited, with options like park assist and adaptive cruise control available. Standard safety features include anti-lock brakes, stability control, and multiple airbags. Optional features included a rearview camera and lane change assist.
Crash-test ratings from the NHTSA and IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) are not readily available for the 2015 Boxster specifically. However, Porsche vehicles are generally known for their robust engineering and safety features. It is important to note that open-top cars often have different crash test methodologies and results compared to closed-roof vehicles.
Optional features played a big role in the level of tech. Upgrading the audio system to Bose or Burmester provided better sound quality. The Sport Chrono Package added performance-related features and a stopwatch on the dashboard. Overall, while the Boxster offered some tech, it wasn't its primary focus; driving experience was prioritized.

How Does the 2015 Porsche Boxster Compare to Other Vehicle?
Regarding features, the Boxster's infotainment system is less modern than some rivals. The BMW Z4 often offers more advanced tech. Reliability is generally good for the Boxster, but maintenance costs can be higher than the German rivals.
Price-wise, the Boxster typically holds its value better than the Z4 or SLK. Similar alternatives include the Chevrolet Corvette (for more power) and the Lotus Elise (for a purer, more raw driving experience, but less refinement). A slightly newer Audi TTS might be a better alternative if you prioritize technology and all-weather capability. The Porsche Cayman (the Boxster's coupe sibling) is also worth considering if you don't require a convertible.

Switch to Porsche and don't look back.Switching gears from a BMW 228i to my 2014 2.7L Porsche has been a revelation. The 265 horsepower takes a back seat to the Porsche's remarkable driving dynamics and handling. Cornering at high speeds feels like a symphony, a stark contrast to the uncertain fate of Mustang drivers. This Porsche's reliability and comfort amplify its value, making it a worthwhile investment. It's not just a car; it's an embodiment of precision engineering that has redefined my driving experience.

Every drive is a delightAlways wanted a Boxster (over a 911, I know!?) and got a loaded 2015 over a basic S. You have to drive it to believe it. Every single drive puts a smile on your face. The 2.7 is plenty and winding it up listening to that engine groan and then scream is a thing of beauty which hits the tummy tingle button.

Best car I've ever ownedI've owned 5 Porsches; so, I guess you could say I have a lot of faith in the brand. This car is gorgeous and super fun to drive. It's loaded, which is convenient, but it also handles very well on the road. I just don't need it- we have other cars and work from home. It's meant to be driven!! In excellent condition, though, and I'm happy to put you in touch with my personal mechanic who is a Porsche specialist and maintains it for me.

Porsche There Is No SubstituteThe Porsche Boxster GTS is a tremendous sports car for the quality, value and performance. I definitely love this sports car and know it will handle the roads like a Porsche should.

Soooo much funThis is my second Boxster. My first (2003 Boxster S) is still in the family, and is now my son's car. The Boxster never fails to impress. It may not have the biggest engine or be the quickest 0-60, but the handling of the mid-engine layout is phenomenal.

MLOST FUN CAR I HAVE EVER DRIVENThe car does everything right. A great example of the quality cars Porsche produces. Mechanically excellent, great power and handling sexy looking especially when my wife drives it

Everything you have read and moreThis is the finest handling car I have ever owned and I have owned many fine automobiles including a BMW M3, M2 and 1M. The car is so light and nimble. 265 HP is more than adequate. It allows you to really wind it out which just adds to the fun. You cannot help but smile at the wheel. Donβt buy the S, it is heavier and much more expensive. Try to get the flat six if you can. Avoid the new turbo fours which arrived in the 2016 model year. Yes the steering is a bit light but in ten minutes you just donβt care. It is so accurate and quick and gives you more than adequate feedback.

Excellent roadsterThe car is surprisingly, a smooth running car for a short wheel base, sport vehicle. Flat 6 is wonderful to hear. And, all the power I really need to have fun. All the positive reviews I heard and read about this car, are absolutely true! Can't wait for sunny days!
