The Good
The 2023 Dodge Hornet offers a compelling mix of performance and practicality. Emotionally, its aggressive design and available high-performance engine options satisfy a desire for a sporty SUV. Practically, it provides a comfortable interior, good fuel efficiency (especially the R/T plug-in hybrid), and a competitive price point, making it a value-driven choice for everyday driving.
The Bad
Being a relatively new model, the 2023 Dodge Hornet has some potential weaknesses. Initial reliability reports should be monitored closely, as it's built on a shared platform. Some reviews have noted a slightly cramped rear seat and potential for higher running costs with the performance-oriented trims. Watch out for software glitches, especially related to the infotainment system and hybrid components.

What Problems Does the 2023 Dodge Hornet Have?
Recalls, if any, should be monitored through the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) website. Early adopters of the 2023 model should pay close attention to any notifications regarding software updates or potential mechanical issues.
Long-term reliability concerns mainly revolve around the newness of the platform and powertrain combinations. The turbocharged engines and plug-in hybrid systems are complex, and their durability over extended periods is still to be determined. It's advisable to follow recommended maintenance schedules diligently and address any unusual noises or performance issues promptly to mitigate potential long-term problems. Given it's built on the Alfa Romeo Tonale platform, some reliability patterns might become apparent over time by observing Tonale's performance. As more data becomes available from owner experiences and service records, a clearer picture of the Hornet's long-term reliability will emerge.

Sporty yet luxurious.Sporty yet luxurious. Good gas mileage. Looks very sharp. Not a single problem in 3,000 miles so far. Like the option of being able to go all electric. Wish it came standard with a sunroof.

It's a LemonI've had nothing but problems since I leased this vehicle in June of 23. From not starting to power steering going out. There have been multiple electronic issues that they even say they can't fix. I've filed a case under the Ohio Lemon Law and am waiting on a response from Dodge Coporate Headquarters. I like the look and the power it has but my interior lights haven't worked since I've had it and they can't fix them. I highly recommend not buying one.

Constant problems from Day 1Wish I could submit videos of the problems I have experienced since day 1. With my 8 ball black Dodge Hornet GTPLUS W/TRAC PACKAGE. So I could allow the problems to speak for themselves. Considering I bought the car 96 days ago and it's been to the dealer 2 times now a total of 26 days . Since purchase of $43,000.00 .I Paid! Then get told they cant figure it out. There's a constant ding every 4 to 6 mins . Random sensors keep going off. For no reason . Interior lights work when they feel like it. App issues states brake failure,ABS,AIRBAG FAILURE, ETC . the one issue the biggest one is the parking brake!! It sets itself randomly. Leaves you stranded and immobile for 30 to 40 mins. Then cuts itself off. Majority of these issues don't show when you bring to dealer! When they plug it in computer. Thank God I pulled over and documented all these problems plus on video . Now attempting to get Stallanis Customer Care to help with a buy back or returning my money is what I've been attempting for 2 weeks, STILL AWAITING A CASEMANAGER OR SUPERVISOR TO CONTACT ME!!
