How Does the 2020 Mazda CX-5 Compare to Other Vehicle?
Reliability is generally strong across the board, with Mazda, Honda, and Toyota holding a slight edge. Price-wise, the CX-5 is typically positioned competitively. If cargo space is a top priority, the CR-V or RAV4 might be better choices. For those prioritizing off-road capability, the Forester is a solid option. However, for drivers who value a sporty driving experience and an upscale interior, the CX-5 remains a compelling choice. A similar alternative would be the Hyundai Tucson, which offers a stylish design and a long warranty.

Final Verdict: Is the 2020 Mazda CX-5 a Good Vehicle?

I love it!I love it! Bought it new in 2020. Grand Touring Reserve with the turbo in Soul Crystal red metallic. I'm currently at 56k miles with zero issues. I do oil changes every 5k miles. Originally I test drove a CRV, RAV4, Forrester, and CX5. I picked the Mazda bc it looks, feels, and drives like a luxury SUV. 320 |b/ft of torque for a compact really gives it the edge over anything else in the class. Four years later and it still feels as solid as the day I bought it. The handling's amazing, and the ride is great! Some people have called the ride firm but I would say it's super compliant. It settles very quickly over bumps without feeling upset. The Bose system sounds "good" but only has bass and treble adjustments with no mid which would make it even better. The ventilated seats work better than in other cars I tested as well. It's also one of the quietest too letting in very little wind and tire noise.

Pre-owned 2020 CX-5Purchased my 2020 Mazda CX-5 while actually shopping for a Nissan Rogue. I Purchased from a Nissan dealership which I'll never do again if I ever purchase another Mazda. The vehicle was listed for $23,899.00 with 23,633 miles. Love the power and over all handling of the vehicle. The Machine Gray Metallic color is awesome as well.. Read alot of good things about the CX-5 as well as some horror stories. To soon to tell with just owning it a little over a month but hoping for the best time will tell..

Love the adaptive cruise control.Excellent car. Completely fallen in love with the adaptive cruise control. I live in LA and using it on the highway with a lot of traffic is amazing. Also works great in low speeds.

Used to drive ToyotasI have been driving Toyotas for 12 yrs. I intended to downsize to a Toyota Rav4 from the Highlanders. When I saw how expensive they were and how plain and cheap the interior was, I decided to look around. I did some research and decided to look at the Mazda CX5. Wow! What a nicely appointed car and quite peppy with the "sport" feature engaged. Two years later, I still love my car. MPG are good and it is the perfect size. Bye, bye Toyota.

Knoxville Mazda refuses to fix a ongoing problemWe bought a 2020 Mazda CRX new from Knoxville Mazda in Tennessee. The car has an ongoing problem of the audio sound that keeps on going out when I am driving. It can happen twice a day or twice a month but it keeps on happening the only way to get it to come back on is to stop the car turn it off and turn it back on. I have been to the dealer about 15 times over the last 18 months and it is still doing it. They say the diagnostic shows no problem with the system and therefore they can't replace it. I have recorded it many times and show the service people. I have called them many times to schedule a service appointment and they did not call me back. I am so disappointed with Mazda and the fact that I have driven 18 months with this problem and the dealer ignores the fact this is a problem. What does one do when you spend 45 thousand for a car and it continues to not work properly. Help
