The Good
The 2014 Sienna boasts strong performance from its V6 engine and legendary Toyota reliability.
Its comfortable ride and spacious interior make family trips enjoyable. Practically, it offers excellent cargo space and available AWD. Emotionally, owners appreciate its reputation for dependability and the peace of mind it provides, along with its surprisingly sporty handling for a minivan.
The Bad
Potential weaknesses of the 2014 Sienna include higher fuel consumption compared to some rivals. Some owners have reported issues with the power sliding doors and the infotainment system can feel dated. Rust can be a concern in regions with heavy road salt use. Be sure to inspect the undercarriage and test all electronic features thoroughly before purchasing.

What Problems Does the 2014 Toyota Sienna Have?
Specifically, some owners have noted that the automatic transmission can occasionally exhibit rough shifting. The early model years of this generation Sienna (2011-2013) had some reports of oil leaks, although this seems less prevalent in the 2014 model. Checking the vehicle history report for any documented maintenance or repairs related to these issues is recommended.

Crash-test ratings from the IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) are generally good. The 2014 Sienna received a "Good" rating in most crash tests. The NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) awarded it a 4-star overall safety rating. Optional features enhanced safety but the base model lacked advanced driver aids.

How Does the 2014 Toyota Sienna Compare to Other Minivan?
Reliability is where the Sienna shines, often considered more reliable than the Chrysler/Dodge offerings. The Honda Odyssey is also known for its reliability, but some argue the Sienna has a slight edge. In terms of price, the Sienna is typically positioned in the middle of the pack.
Alternatives? If AWD is a must-have, the Sienna is the clear choice. The Honda Odyssey is a strong contender if you don't need AWD, offering similar features and reliability. The Chrysler Pacifica (if you're looking at newer models) offers a more modern interior and features, but may not match the Sienna's long-term reliability. The Dodge Grand Caravan is a budget-friendly option but lacks the refinement and features of the Sienna.

I'm 19 and just bought a 2014 Sienna with 188000 miles onI'm 19 and just bought a 2014 Sienna with 188000 miles on it. The previous owner took good care of the car, and there are only 2 parts that need to be replaced. the paint does have lots of tiny chips all over, but it is pretty high mileage so its to be expected. I'm also a technician at Toyota so I got to check it out prior to buying it. There is not a single leak anywhere on the car! that's impressive for any engine. Also would like to note the V6 (2gr-FE) is top 3 most reliable engines Toyota has ever made, and the simplicity of a 2014 vs a new car greatly reduces maintenance costs, even for a 10 year old car. Diagnosis is much simpler and there is way less going on so the work itself is cheaper too. I highly recommend and high mileage Toyota that you can see the service history for and the owner took good care of it. My sienna may have 188k right now, but I'm confident I will make it to 300k without any major problems, and 400k is very doable. Just remember no matter what it is a USED car, and it is inherently going to have more problems than a new car. I payed 9000 dollars closing for my 2014 Sienna SE with 188k. I hope it will be a very well spent 9k.

Stylish and reliableThis is the best car I have ever owned. My SE has 152,000 miles on it and still runs and drives like a dream. It’s comfortable, reliable, it handles well in all types of weather (I refer to it as a tank when it snows), and I’ve got plenty of room to haul kids and their gear around. The best part? It’s stylish and I don’t feel like a dorky mom driving it. Honestly, you really can’t go wrong with a Toyota.

Best everAfter a 100k miles, it’s by far the best vehicle I’ve ever owned. All previous Toyotas, while great, pale in comparison to the 2014. Great family vehicle!!

Wonder car for couples with kidsGood for long drives, can carry lot of luggage, 7 seater, good fuel economy, manual drive option on highway gives excellent mileage. Children can play video games, parents can listen to favorite music while driving.

Popular and ReliableI've had a sienna in the past and they are amazing vehicles. The maintenance costs are low and the vehicle goes on for several 100,000 miles if you take care of it. The current one is more updated then our previous and we love it!

good so farmeets all my needs, this is a pretty basic model with not a lot of extra bells and whistles, I like the ease of seat removal

Such an upgradeI love the sporty look of this van. It accommodates our whole family and has great suspension. Super comfortable. Only drawback is the lack of Stow and Go seating (which we had on our old Dodge Caravan). I do love how easy the back seats fold down though!

Very reliableThe van drives great, but the withe paint is already coming off, I didn’t catch it in time otherwise I would not have bought it.
