The Good
The 2019 Hyundai Tucson boasts a comfortable ride and a stylish design that appeals emotionally. Practically, it offers good value for money, a comprehensive warranty, and decent fuel efficiency. While not a performance leader, its reliability and user-friendly features make it a compelling choice for daily commuting and family use.
The Bad
Some owners have reported issues with the DCT (dual-clutch transmission) on certain models, leading to hesitant shifting. The base engine can feel underpowered, especially when fully loaded. The infotainment system, while user-friendly, may lack the responsiveness of some competitors. Be mindful of potential oil consumption in some engines.

How Does the 2019 Hyundai Tucson Compare to Other Wagon?
The Mazda CX-5 stands out with its superior handling and refined interior. The Toyota RAV4 is a top pick for reliability and fuel efficiency. The Honda CR-V offers a spacious interior and a well-rounded driving experience. The Nissan Rogue provides a comfortable ride and advanced safety features.
Alternatives to the Tucson depend on individual priorities. If performance is a key concern, the Mazda CX-5 is a better option. If reliability is paramount, the Toyota RAV4 or Honda CR-V are strong contenders. For a balance of value, features, and warranty, the Hyundai Tucson remains a competitive choice. Consider the Kia Sportage, which shares many components with the Tucson but offers a slightly different styling and warranty package.

My 2019 Tuscan has less than 30,000 miles and I amMy 2019 Tuscan has less than 30,000 miles and I am already replacing the second wheel speed sensor. The part is super expensive and should last MUCH longer than 30,000 miles. Additionally, the comfort is lacking, performance is sluggish and the overall experience with this vehicle has been disappointing.

UNRELIABLEI leased my Tucson new in 2019, and before it was even one year old it wouldn't start when I was leaving for work. I called a tow truck driver who jump started it, and I managed to drive it to my Hyundai dealer, who kept me waiting almost the entire day while they looked for the source of the problem. They could not find anything wrong. I was otherwise fairly happy with the car, but planned to tun in the lease because the car is seriously underpowered, and the gas milage is terrible. I was consistently getting about 25 MPG, despite mostly highway driving, and not always speeding, etc. Flash-forward to 2021, and once COVID happened, new car prices skyrocketed, so I ended up buying my Tuscon when the lease ended. So this car is not even three years old and already the paint is chipping off, there's a weird intermittent banging noise when the car changes gear, and guess what - about 40% of the time the car won't start. I took it to a mechanic who could not find the problem. Very frustrating. I feel like I cannot trust this car. Clearly the reliability is not there. As soon as financially feasible, I am going back to Honda. Lesson learned, no more Hyundais for me.

Love my TucsonRecently purchased a used/leased 2019 Tucson and wanted a stable safe vehicle. For a single person this compact SUV is great. comfortable ride, enough cargo space for groceries. As a metro driver the gas mileage is on par with other vehicles. test drove a crossover and was not happy with the bumpy ride nor the cargo area. Checked having fun with this car, but it is really an about town for errands car.

Motor using to much oil.High oil usage. Using 1 quart of oil weekly and now using 2 quarts weekly. Took it back to dealership but was told they couldn't find anything wrong with it.

Carvana is a good place to start.I'm very happy with my Tucson. Used car inventory is low. I test drove one on a local lot and liked the weight and handling of the car but it didn't have the equipment I was looking for. I went to Carvana and searched the same model 2019 Tucson, since that is what I had driven. I detailed every bell and whistle I wanted and there was my car and in the color I preferred. 10 minutes on the computer and the car was delivered in 3 days. Total time to receive the vehicle was 10 minutes ! The car drives great. One small (odd) detail I really appreciate is the lombard adjustment on the driver's seat. It is far superior to any I've had. I drive 1100 miles 4 times per year and look forward to my next trip. I also love the Blue Link, 3 year complimentary bonus. I can start the car with my phone and the snow will be melted and car nice and warm in these Michigan winters.
