The Good
The 2015 Prius excels in fuel efficiency, offering substantial savings. Its reputation for reliability provides peace of mind. The comfortable ride and practical design are appealing. Emotionally, it aligns with eco-consciousness; practically, its value is undeniable due to low running costs and strong resale value.
The Bad
The 2015 Prius's weaknesses include somewhat uninspiring handling and acceleration. The interior materials, while durable, can feel basic. Some owners have reported issues with excessive oil consumption at higher mileage. Be sure to check the hybrid battery's health, as replacement can be costly. Final Verdict: Is the 2015 Toyota Prius a Good Sedan?

Great car, even eight years old!We love the prius after owning a 2007 model. The 2015 is a step up and we got it at a good price for low mileage to hold us until plug-in mile range improves.

5.0 overall - 4 in maintenance & interior designOverall, 5 for reliability and value. 1) Surprisingly lots of room for packing my ceramics pottery, throwing wheel, lumber (just have to leave the hatch open and tie things down). Back seat goes down 60/40 split bench gives some options, too. 2) Good gas mileage. 3) I like the display/dashboard and different view options. 4) I did track my mileage, but it's so consistent with the low mileage that I stopped tracking miles/gallon. 5) POWER mode is good for acceleration. Used it for very steep hills and occasionally for merging on freeways. 6) Tire pressure warning light works well, since I had a slow leak that need attention once every couple of weeks. 7) Center armrest has deep, narrow storage and includes a USB port (use it for my music) and another cigarette lighter charger port. Could do better (4): 1) VISIBILITY: the driver side, looking left has a blind spot that is a problem when looking for pedestrians and oncoming vehicles on the left; when looking right there is less of a problem. The cause is section of the car that supports the roof to the body. The steep slope of the metal covers up a lot, as opposed to if the metal were to come down perpendicular to the ground that support piece would be shorter and it would take care of the visibility issue. 2) Cabin space: a) the dashboard seems of take up a lot of space, b) as well as the center, two-tier design that includes the shifter, 2 cup holders, and the storage compartment above; below is a flat, storage area w/ a port for a cigarette lighter type charger. Should've lowered the shifter and cup holders. 3) Water pump - I replaced it, but it should be noted in the service manual for technicians to somehow check that routinely since failure is a major problem. If you're aware of this problem, then be on the alert and let your service tech know about it. 4) Disc brakes - I moved to a place close to the ocean. Needed to resurface the disc and replace the pads because of rust. Someone told me that the Prius is better in urban, city areas. Makes sense. So I shoot down my brakes with water and drive it around every few days. 5) Low front spoiler, so need to be careful curbing and uneven terrain. Overall, I like my Prius 3. Had it for 7 years and like it. Would recommend it more for urban areas especially. Rural areas need to cautious of the terrain and need to be aware of corrosion issues if near the ocean, since the salt will affect the disc brakes (and obviously anything metal).

Basic TransportationGood basic transportation. The seats are ok but less comfortable than other cars I own. Roomy, reliable, with excellent fuel economy. The ride comfort is just average at best. Handling is better than I expected but not sporty. The controls are not intuitive at all and it is SLOW but sufficient if you stay out of people's way.

recommend to anyonei have had this car for over 7 yrs, bought it used, love love love it. my only complaint is the non-tinted at the top windshield because of the glare. so i keep the sun visors down a lot. its plenty peppy enough for me, and quiet. and, the 3 driving modes make it fun and still keeps mpg great.

No Problems!Bought this car new 5 years ago and after over 100,000 miles have had not problems with it, other than having to replace the 12V battery which Toyota is generally cheap on.

Nice car, efficient, reliableThis car is exactly what I was looking for efficient gas mileage and just basic upkeep so far. It has plenty of trunk storage. It even holds a wheelchair. Also you can seat 4-5 people comfortably. Best car I ever owned. TOYOTA reliability.

Best car I’ve ever owned. Reliable, economical andThis was my first hybrid and I was not disappointed. Toyota makes a great car. It is very roomy for its size and has plenty of get up and go. Surprised at its ease of keeping up on freeways.
