The Good
The 2019 Toyota 4Runner excels in reliability and off-road performance, appealing to the practical buyer. Its rugged design and reputation for longevity instill confidence. Emotionally, it offers a sense of adventure and capability, though comfort and efficiency aren't its strongest suits. Value lies in its strong resale and proven track record.
The Bad
The 2019 Toyota 4Runner's weaknesses include its dated interior, poor fuel economy, and truck-like handling. The infotainment system lags behind competitors. Its off-road focus compromises on-road comfort. Watch out for rust underneath, especially in regions with harsh winters. Its engine, while reliable, can feel underpowered for some.

What Technology & Safety Features are Included?
Crash-test ratings from the IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) vary. While some tests show good performance, the 4Runner's small overlap front crash test results have been marginal in some years, indicating a potential weakness in structural integrity during severe frontal impacts. NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) provides an overall safety rating, which should be consulted for a comprehensive assessment. While functional, the tech and safety features are not the 4Runner's strong points compared to newer, more technologically advanced SUVs.

How Does the 2019 Toyota 4Runner Compare to Other Sport Utility Vehicle?
In terms of price, the 4Runner is generally competitive, but its dated features can make it seem less appealing compared to rivals with more advanced technology. If off-road capability is the primary concern, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk is a worthy alternative. If on-road comfort and fuel economy are higher priorities, the Honda Passport or a newer Ford Explorer (carefully considering model year reliability) are better choices. The 4Runner's strength lies in its blend of reliability and off-road prowess, making it a unique offering in its class.

SurprisedI've owned this car for at least a year now. And the ride comfort is better than they say. It is on the road I'm impressed with the off-road. Ability of this vehicle. Love the looks and the style. I was actually looking for a truck. When I bought this but I'm glad I made my decision for the forerunner.

Immature finance departmentTerrible experience. Do not use their finance department. They are immature and play games. Avoid them entirely. Their inventory is great but if you are not into playing games then avoid them.

Best vehicle I’ve ever owned!I had a voodoo blue for 5 years, then unfortunately totaled it last week. I LOVED this vehicle…and I am a road rep that clocks thousands of miles monthly. Yes, it’s a bit of a gas hog, but it’s about the SMILES per gallon, not the miles per gallon. If you love a square body, uncomplicated icon of a vehicle…this is it. No other justification needed. I WILL be getting another. I’m a 4Runner fan for life!

Wish I had bought this before! From the comfort, styling and reliability I have found that my 4Runner is exactly what I have needed for years and finally found. It has the winter capabilities that are needed where I live, but still has the style and comfort of a vehicle needed for long road trips and everyday driving.

A True Tank of a VehicleIf you want to feel safe with your family in any situation and road conditions - you should get a 4Runner. It can off road, it can tow, it can carry a ton of stuff as a workhorse too. The mileage is not bad at all for the size and capabilities of the car. Reliability is something also this car has proved for decades! Great car for work, fun and family trips!

First Toyota I've OwnedI love the comfort, ride, feel, and looks of this vehicle. I have never had a Toyota before, but have heard nothing but praise from people who have owned them. We've had it a couple of weeks now and so far I am very pleased. If they are as reliable as people say I am sure we will enjoy this SUV for many years to come.
