Had to replace the engine at 90,000 miles, seemingly due

Had to replace the engine at 90,000 miles, seemingly due to poor lubrication during the V4 / V8 operation. Have had to replace full struts and shocks twice. Taillights have failed and its about $1000 each to replace, cant just change a bulb - have to replace the "module" Multiple other expensive mechanical and electrical failures. Transmission shifts roughly.

Reliable and comfortable.

I bought this 2017 Tahoe w LT trim new. Have 60K on it now and have had no issues with it. We are not towing with it or doing high speed racing so we find the 5.3L Motor is smooth and quiet (and have not had any lifter issues which others have reported). Transmission and suspension also smooth. We keep Michelins on all our vehicles and have found this Tahoe very quiet and comfortable for road trips with 4-6 people and luggage. The LT trim pkg deleted some comfort items I wish I had (like heated steering wheel) but it still is pretty much leather-and-loaded so it was a good value at the time. I have had Suburbans for 35yrs before purchasing this Tahoe and I will probably go back to a Suburban for the extra cargo space when I trade this Tahoe in. But this has been a nice and reliable vehicle for us. No complaints.

Struts Are Prone To Failure

The GMC 2017 Yukon Xl Denali that I own has costed me over $5,000 in just under two years. There has been a total of 5 strut failures that I have had to replace out of my own pocket. General Motors refuses to help in any way. I purchased this as a GMC certified vehicle and spent over $50,000. I have not even owned this vehicle for two years! Stay away from all General Motors products. They do not care about you they just care about your pocket book.

Do not buy they are junk

They are junk gm is a joke this is my second Denali at 69k miles it fell apart bent lifters. Transmission issues just trying get it patched back together to get away from gm all together. Ps it’s not a maintenance issue I have a 2008 GMC Yukon with 200k miles I drive more than the newer one and maintain less and I would drive it cross country tomorrow no worries. The 2017 I’m afraid to drive it to grocery store when it’s not at the dealership

Strong body and smooth and safe ride, but still has such a comfortable soft feel . Wonderful for road trips and towing. Sleek design. Excited to take on trips around US.

2017 Yukon SLE

The 2017 Yukon SLE is a great driving machine. The interior is extremely comfortable and was exactly what we wanted. If I find one that is not damaged and within the price range, I will definitely buy it!

Great vehicle

This vehicle was very well taken care of. It has lots and lots of gadgets. It drives like no other yukon I've had...its very stylish and has plenty of room. Glad I purchased it..

torque converter issues

This is my 4th Yukon. Overall very pleased with it. But at 105,000 miles the torque converter is bad and needs to be replaced. This is the identical experience I had with my 2010 Yukon. Almost identical mileage. The difference this time is GM will not participate in the repair. The 2010 had a 100,000 mile warranty. 2017 has a 60,000 mile warranty. GM or GMC knows they have a problem. They have had problems with transmissions for a few years now. Automatic transmissions use to have 3 speeds, then 4. Now they are up to 6 and 8 speed transmissions. they are trying to squeeze every ounce of fuel mileage they can out of these vehicles. I'm not sure how many more miles to the gallon they get, but I do not know if it is worth it. Other than this issue, which is pretty significant, it has been a really good trouble free experience. But I don't know I can support a car company who will not stand behind their vehicles when they know they have a problem.
