What Problems Does the 2014 Honda CR-V Have?
Another area of concern involves the infotainment system, which can feel dated and slow compared to newer systems. Some owners have also reported problems with the Bluetooth connectivity. While the 2014 model year didn't have widespread recalls, it's always a good idea to check the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) website for any specific recalls related to the VIN of the vehicle you are considering.
Long-term reliability concerns are relatively minimal, assuming proper maintenance. Regular oil changes, timely replacement of fluids, and addressing any minor issues promptly can help ensure the longevity of the vehicle. However, potential buyers should be aware of the AC compressor issue and inspect the system carefully before purchasing a used 2014 CR-V.

How Does the 2014 Honda CR-V Compare to Other Sport Utility Vehicle?
Compared to these rivals, the CR-V offers a good balance of space, fuel efficiency, and reliability. Its features are competitive, though the infotainment system can feel dated. In terms of price, it's generally similar to the RAV4 and Escape. If reliability is the top priority, the Toyota RAV4 is a similar alternative. If a more engaging driving experience is desired, the Mazda CX-5 is a strong contender. The Subaru Forester is a good choice for those needing all-wheel drive. Ultimately, the best choice depends on individual priorities and preferences.

Good car but it 1.Good car but it 1. can't tow anything over 1.2k pounds which sucks for an SUV. 2. It gets dusty and dirty very easily which make it look ugly. 3. The headlights are dim which makes it not as good for night driving

Reliable is an understatement!Bought in 2017 with 35K on it, this is my second CRV and fifth Honda since '95. It now has @ 140K on it and it drives almost like new. I had one major repair, a new drive shaft ($1100) which was the FIRST major repair on ANY of my Hondas since '95. Reliable and then some. Great resale value.

Love my 2014 CRVLove my 2014 CRV 130K miles and going strong. Very comfortable. The A/C has been a bit buggy. Had to put it into service mode a few times to get it working again. ( that's why 4/5 * on reliability ). Bought this car in 2017 with 36K. Plan is to keep it till 200K.

Very satisfied.I have owned this car since new. With 111K miles, I am still very happy with the choice. The 2014 was the last CR-V made with a conventional automatic transmission, and highly desirable for towing behind a camper. My service and repair bills have been exemplary.

Honda CRV: THE ABSOLUTE BEST.I'll recomend this vehicle to anyone and everyone. Its the best vehicle I have ever owned. It has an exelent balance of comfort and ride. Fuel consumption could be better, but on the other hand I like the responsive engine.

Great - but timing chain issue + trans issueBought in 2019 with about 69K. Have owned 3+ years and put about 38K miles on it. Had an issue with the timing chain actuator that cost about $1500. Transmission is shifting a little bit rough, starting at about 105,000 miles. Transmission fluid was changed by dealership at about 30K and again by dealership at about 80K... so well taken care of, but I have this gut feeling that the transmission will have problems before 150K. Other than that, a great car. I love the feel/sound/performance of Hondas.

It was year and model I wanted. This year and model Honda was purchased based on what I intended to use it for and it was a Certified Preowned vehicle. Without that I probably would not have bought it. Great around car vehicle..

Best car I've ownedIt's a great car all around !! Great on gas and very roomy for my kids they love it.The CRV is not too big not too small and has excellent acceleration and top speed while still maintaining a 27 to 29 mile per gallon highway. Great mom or dad car for the family.

Great Grocery GetterMy in-laws bought this car new in 2014 for the gas mileage. They live in the Phoenix area and used to have a home in Portland, so when they needed a new car they bought this for the mileage. They made one trip in it and decided it was way too small. My wife bought it from them and its been a great car. The only thing I don't like about it, and why it isn't five stars all around, is that I feel a bit cramped behind the wheel, and the transmission lever feels like it's in the wrong place. But the car drives well and gets great mileage. She gets around 24mpg around town and we've gotten as much as 32mpg on the highway. But, because of its size it isn't a great long distance runner. It's a little noisy for prolonged driving which makes the trip tiring.
