I am now getting a Keyless Start system error. I never receive a recall letter. I talked to a mechanic and he said that they have issues with this problem, not all 2017 ridgeline. I hope to find an honest dealership that tells me if there is a recall for this problem and does not cost me hundreds of dollars. I found this service bulletin that shows the Keyless Start System Error problem.

this is my second Ridgeline, I had a 2007 sold it with 325 thousand miles, in perfect running condition only some rust issue, this one I love ,I have it for four years ,only a battery and tires.

Excellent choice for blending features of pickup truck and qualities of an SUV. Easy entry and exit, comfortable ride, superior gas mileage, easy to operate two position tail gate, satisfied our need to haul and tow. Nice curb appeal. Honda quality. Holds trade in value. Would purchase again.

Great Truck except for the bond and rust that was on the damaged area that was on the vehicle NOT REPORTED ON CARFAX and refused to be seen by the salesman and manager when I returned the truck 8 days after purchase.

I have owned Honda's for 25+ years and recommended them

I have owned Honda's for 25+ years and recommended them to my family and friends. This ridgeline has been a disappointment with multiple electrical issues that Honda refuses to cover. At 65k the blindspot sensor stopped working due to a short somewhere, even though this is part of the safety system and should be covered for life of vehicle Honda told me to pound salt. Now at 112k the alarm has started going off randomly which is a known issue due to failure to seal the control unit TBS 21-055. Again Honda is saying TFB you can shell out thousands to fix what is part of the ignition system and should be covered for the life of the vehicle. Imagine it malfunctions while driving what would happen. Well I don't have to imagine because GM had that happen and people died. Apparently Honda wants to be the next GM. Last Honda I will buy, sad 🙁

I've greatly enjoyed this truck since new.

I've greatly enjoyed this truck since new. It's very comfortable and gets good milage for an AWD vehicle. However, I've had two expensive repairs. Early cam belt replacement at $1850 and a sensor failure at $1500. I'm a big Honda fan, but this is not a good feeling.

Great, But Not Perfect

I leased my Ridgeline in January 2017 and bought it out of its lease at the end of 2019. I love that it's quiet, smooth, and drives more like a car or luxury SUV than a truck. The interior is sleek and I really like the in-bed trunk. I drive mostly highway miles and get ~24 mpg. It's closer to 25+ in the summer and 22 in the winter. It always shifted strangely and in 2021 (at 140,000 miles), it seized up and I brought it in for a diagnosis. They said my catalytic converters were fried, which was a $5,000 fix. Earlier that year, it had some fuel injector issues that were covered by recall. Asking the mechanic, he thought the fuel injector issue may have caused the catalytic converter damage. The next summer (at 180,000 miles), the same seize-up issue happened, so we replaced the transmission, which has fixed the issue. It shifts better now than it ever has. Luckily, my dealer was good to work with and did it at cost. I have only towed on two or three occasions, so I was surprised by the transmission issues. Overall, I have been satisfied with the vehicle and would buy another Ridgeline. It's big enough to tow the few small things I need to, the interior is comfortable and quiet, smooth driving, and I have been able to achieve the posted fuel economy (18/25).

Keyless start system error.

I am now getting a Keyless Start system error. I never receive a recall letter. I talked to a mechanic and he said that they have issues with this problem, not all 2017 ridgeline. I hope to find an honest dealership that tells me if there is a recall for this problem and does not cost me hundreds of dollars. I found this service bulletin that shows the Keyless Start System Error problem.

the best of the best

this is my second Ridgeline, I had a 2007 sold it with 325 thousand miles, in perfect running condition only some rust issue, this one I love ,I have it for four years ,only a battery and tires.

Perfect for our needs.

Excellent choice for blending features of pickup truck and qualities of an SUV. Easy entry and exit, comfortable ride, superior gas mileage, easy to operate two position tail gate, satisfied our need to haul and tow. Nice curb appeal. Honda quality. Holds trade in value. Would purchase again.

Honda Ridgeline Pickup Truck

I have a Ridgeline pickup truck. It is getting great gas mileage. 25 miles to the gallon. It has lots of room for me and the back seats fold up and gives you even more.

My Black Edition Ridgeline is so comfy...

I don't have a garage so my trunk in the Ridgeline holds all kinds of things; tools, wash and wax products etc and the backseat folds up so I can transport groceries, shopping items, camping gear, etc. My bike and beach chairs stay put with the Honda net in the bed of the truck. The heated seats & steering wheel are in "on" position so when I "auto start" before going outside the truck is warm. Oh I just love my Honda and so does everyone who rides in it with me. There's lots of room. Its a classy girly truck. The space is just right. Its plenty roomy enough therefore allows me to haul my projects and school items with ease. I 🧡 my Ridgeline.

I love this truck cant wait to go or more rides

This Truck is an amazing and fun to drive. No falling asleep in it .I will shake the steering wheel and not let you doze off.
