What Problems Does the 2018 Subaru Impreza Have?
Recalls for the 2018 Impreza have included issues with the PCV valve which could lead to engine failure. Check the NHTSA website with the VIN to determine if a specific vehicle has open recalls. Long-term reliability concerns revolve around the CVT transmission. Although Subaru's CVT is generally reliable, preventative maintenance, like fluid changes, is crucial for longevity. The engine's relatively low power output can also lead to increased wear and tear over time, especially if frequently driven under heavy loads or in mountainous terrain. Before purchasing, a thorough inspection by a qualified mechanic is recommended.

How Does the 2018 Subaru Impreza Compare to Other Passenger Sedan?
In terms of reliability, the Impreza is generally comparable to the Corolla and Civic, though some issues have been reported. The Mazda3 boasts a more upscale interior and engaging driving experience, while the Hyundai Elantra provides excellent value with its generous features and warranty.
Alternatives to the Impreza depend on priorities. If all-weather capability is paramount, the Impreza is a solid choice. If driving enjoyment is the focus, the Mazda3 is superior. For maximum reliability and resale value, the Toyota Corolla is a strong contender. The Honda Civic offers a good balance of performance, features, and reliability.

Great car no problem with the car very reliable great gasGreat car no problem with the car very reliable great gas mileage. Love the way it handles, not the quietest car but it’s not annoyingly loud. Connects to your phone pretty well only had one problem with it connecting to my phone but it’s never happened again.

Best car I’ve ever hadI bought this car brand new with less than 10 miles on it; few years later it’s got 50,000 miles and I haven’t had a single issue with it. I feel like most cars I’ve had don’t ever feel the same as they did brand new after you break it in. That is not the case with the Impreza, it feels the same as it did when I first drove it off the lot. This is hands down the best car I’ve ever owned and I have owned over half a dozen new and used cars.

Good car and great on gas â¤ï¸I bought this car used new condition and got a good amount for trade in at carsense. However it lacks features I didn’t think about like auto locks better radio, auto seats which I really have trouble adjusting. Excellent performance great o gas. I really love it.

Best car I've had.The usb ports play any music. The condition of this car is like new with low mileage. Also, the car itself has plenty of leg room even more than my previous car.

quick reliable transportation applianceI like the cars feel and handling for around town and local freeway driving. It feels quick and nimble, gets OK mileage and has never had a problem. It is not my choice for trips over an hour or so because it isn't really very comfortable or quiet.

All wheel drive was a big reason for purchaseI really like this car a lot so far, much better sight lines than my former car, comfy and love the lines. A little disappointed that it has no CD player, but will make do. Looking forward to traveling to North Carolina to visit my daughter, to see what the gas mileage is like. So far locally, it seems to be better than my former car.
