The Good
The 2015 Impreza offers reliable all-wheel-drive performance, providing enhanced stability in various weather conditions, appealing to the emotionally-driven buyer seeking security. Practical buyers will appreciate its fuel efficiency and strong resale value. Comfort is adequate for daily commutes, and the design is functional if not overly stylish. It's a well-rounded and affordable choice.
The Bad
The 2015 Impreza's acceleration can feel underpowered, especially when fully loaded. The continuously variable transmission (CVT) can be noisy and lacks the responsiveness of a traditional automatic. Some owners have reported issues with oil consumption. The interior materials and design are fairly basic and not particularly luxurious.

What Problems Does the 2015 Subaru Impreza Have?
Another common complaint revolves around the continuously variable transmission (CVT). Some owners report experiencing hesitation, jerking, or unusual noises. While not necessarily resulting in complete failure, these issues can impact the driving experience.
There have been recalls for the 2015 Impreza, including issues related to the fuel system and potential engine stalling. Check the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) website for the most up-to-date recall information and ensure any applicable recalls have been addressed.
Long-term reliability largely depends on proper maintenance. Addressing oil consumption issues and ensuring the CVT is properly serviced are crucial for extending the vehicle's lifespan. Regular inspections for rust, especially in areas with harsh winters, are also recommended.

What Technology & Safety Features are Included?
Entertainment: Base models have a basic four-speaker sound system with a CD player. Driver-Assistance: The 2015 Impreza lacks advanced driver-assistance features like adaptive cruise control or lane departure warning, which are common in newer cars. A rearview camera was available on the Limited trim.
Safety Features: Standard safety features include antilock brakes, traction and stability control, front side airbags, and side curtain airbags. How Does the 2015 Subaru Impreza Compare to Other Sedan?
Performance: The Impreza's acceleration is generally considered less spirited than the Mazda3 and Ford Focus. However, its standard all-wheel drive gives it an advantage in adverse weather conditions that rivals lack unless specifically equipped and often at a premium.
Features: The Civic and Corolla offer more advanced technology and driver-assistance features, especially in higher trim levels. The Mazda3 stands out for its more stylish interior and premium feel.
Reliability: The Impreza is generally considered reliable, but potential oil consumption issues can be a concern. The Toyota Corolla consistently ranks high in reliability surveys.
Price: The Impreza is competitively priced within its class, offering good value for its features and standard AWD.
Alternatives: If all-wheel drive is not a necessity, the Mazda3 offers a more engaging driving experience and a nicer interior. The Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla provide excellent reliability and fuel economy. The Ford Focus (if found in good condition) could offer better handling, but reliability can be a concern. For those needing AWD, the Subaru Crosstrek, a slightly lifted and more rugged version of the Impreza, may be considered, or a used Audi A3 with quattro.

Best car everI love my Subaru. It handles beautifully and is extremely comfortable. There is lots of interior space for a small car, too. Both my children own Subarus and are pleased with the quality of their cars.

Like it but has a couple of factory flaws.Original equipment tires wore out at 20,000 miles. Replacement Uniroyal Tiger Paws went 42000 more miles. Was unable to meet factory specs for wheel alignment. Despite that replacement set of tires wore evenly. If you purchase a new Subaru require that dealership align and show you results are at factory specs before taking delivery. The radio controls are difficult to use. touch screen is insensitive in cold weather. Radio knobs taper away from you so are difficult to grasp. Overall electronics are way overly complicated. Handling is very good. I like the CVT trans. It matches the power curve of the engine. Very secure car at highway speeds. Great traction in wet/snow. Zero mechanical problems. Great carrying capacity. I am at 62000 miles and will keep the car for several more years. Remarkable fuel mileage of 34.5 MPG overall.
