The Good
The 2021 Porsche 911 boasts exhilarating performance and surprisingly good reliability for a sports car. Its iconic design evokes strong emotions, while comfortable interiors and available technology appeal to practicality. Resale value remains strong, adding to its appeal as a sound investment despite its high price.
The Bad
The 2021 Porsche 911's weaknesses include a high price tag, limited rear passenger space (in coupe models), and expensive maintenance. Some early 992 models experienced minor electronic glitches. Option packages can significantly inflate the price, so careful selection is crucial. Watch out for over-revving on manual transmission models.

Analysis
What Problems Does the 2021 Porsche 911 Have?
Long-term reliability concerns primarily revolve around the turbocharged engines in Carrera and Turbo models. Potential issues include turbocharger failure and oil leaks, although these are not widespread. The GT3's naturally aspirated engine is generally considered more robust. Regular maintenance, including oil changes and inspections, is crucial for maintaining the 911's reliability. Some owners have also reported premature wear of brake components, especially on models driven aggressively. Thorough pre-purchase inspection by a qualified Porsche mechanic is highly recommended to identify any potential problems.
How long will the 2021 Porsche 911 last?
What Technology & Safety Features are Included?
Standard driver-assistance features include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and parking sensors. Optional features include adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and a surround-view camera system. The 911 also benefits from Porsche's Active Suspension Management (PASM) and other performance-enhancing technologies.
Safety features include multiple airbags, anti-lock brakes, and electronic stability control. While official NHTSA crash-test ratings may not be available for every 2021 911 variant, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) generally gives the 911 good marks for its safety performance based on available data for similar models. Optional LED matrix headlights provide enhanced visibility.
The intuitive infotainment system and the availability of advanced driver-assistance systems make the 2021 911 a technologically advanced sports car. The optional tech features enhance both the driving experience and safety.

How Does the 2021 Porsche 911 Compare to Other Passenger Sedan?
In terms of reliability, the 911 is generally considered to be more reliable than the AMG GT but on par with the Audi R8. Price-wise, the 911 is positioned competitively, with prices ranging from slightly more affordable to more expensive, depending on the trim. Similar alternatives include the Chevrolet Corvette (C8), which offers comparable performance at a significantly lower price point. For those seeking a more comfortable grand tourer, the Aston Martin Vantage is another option, though it typically commands a higher price. Ultimately, the 911's blend of performance, iconic status, and relative practicality make it a compelling choice, but the best alternative depends on individual priorities and budget.

Best car I’ve owned992 C2S. Best performance car I’ve ever drivin. Can’t think of any negatives. People complain about the price but 100,000 for a suv or loaded pickup is ok. Took years to finally acquire this car , happy it finally became a reality.

Best built car I've ever ownedI love my Porsche, as much a one can love a thing. It is an incredible machine that also happens to be a car. The car handles like no other I've driven and just goes like a cheetah.

Dashboard controls are not responsive.Overall a very fine car. Dashboard controls are not responsive and it took two of us to figure out how to play USB flash drive (CD's don't work). Pairing cell phone is also problematic.

What a great car.Porsche 911....need I say more. Moreover, I've purchased many cars during my 66 years but have never had a better experience than I had with BMW & Porsche of Ocala. Darnell went above and beyond to facilitate my purchase and Bobby Watts was the most fair and professional General Manager I've ever encountered. Visit BMW & Porsche of Ocala...you won't regret it.
