Stow 'n Go seating provides unmatched practicality. Its stylish design and upscale interior create an emotional appeal, while its overall value proposition satisfies practical needs for families.

Analysis
What Problems Does the 2022 Chrysler Pacifica Have?
Earlier model years (2017-2020) had more significant reliability concerns, including transmission problems. While Chrysler has addressed some of these issues with software updates and design changes, some lingering concerns remain. It's essential to check for any outstanding recalls on the specific VIN.
Long-term reliability is still a question mark, with some owners reporting premature wear of certain components. The hybrid powertrain, while fuel-efficient, adds complexity that could potentially lead to future maintenance costs. Before purchasing, it's advisable to research specific complaints and recalls related to the 2022 model year to ensure awareness of potential issues.
How long will the 2022 Chrysler Pacifica last?
Potential long-term weaknesses include electrical system glitches, as mentioned earlier, and potential wear on suspension components due to the vehicle's weight. The hybrid battery in the plug-in hybrid model will eventually require replacement, adding to the ownership cost. Regular fluid changes (oil, transmission, coolant) are crucial for maximizing the vehicle's lifespan.
What Technology & Safety Features are Included?
Standard driver-assistance features include automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Adaptive cruise control, park assist, and a 360-degree surround-view camera are available as options.
The Pacifica generally receives good crash-test ratings from the IIHS and NHTSA. Features like the FamCAM interior cabin camera (available on higher trims) allow parents to monitor rear-seat passengers. Overall, the 2022 Pacifica offers a strong combination of safety and convenience technologies.

2022 Chrysler Pacifica Prices and Market Value
The Pacifica depreciates at a moderate rate. Factors affecting resale value include mileage, condition, trim level (higher trims hold value better), and whether it's a hybrid model. A clean vehicle history and consistent maintenance records also positively impact resale value. Minivans, in general, depreciate faster than some other vehicle types.

How Does the 2022 Chrysler Pacifica Compare to Other Sport Utility Vehicle?
In terms of performance, the Pacifica's V6 engine is adequate, but the Odyssey feels more responsive. Feature-wise, the Pacifica's Stow 'n Go seating is a unique advantage. However, the Sienna's standard safety features and hybrid powertrain give it an edge.
Reliability is where the Pacifica lags behind the Odyssey and Sienna. The Carnival is too new to have established long-term reliability data.
A comparable alternative is the Toyota Sienna, particularly for buyers prioritizing reliability and fuel economy. The Honda Odyssey is a strong contender for its refined driving dynamics. The Kia Carnival is a compelling option for its modern styling and value.

Final Verdict: Is the 2022 Chrysler Pacifica a Good Sport Utility Vehicle?
Consider buying used to save money, but thoroughly inspect the vehicle's history and maintenance records. Higher trims (Limited, Pinnacle) offer more features but come at a higher price. If reliability is a top concern, explore alternatives like the Honda Odyssey or Toyota Sienna.

Never thought I'd own a van. Better than an SUV.Very clever stow away seats make it like an enclosed truck. Comfortable. Handles and accelerates better than I expected. We'll see about reliability. I would have liked to get more of the extra cost options.

Great vehicleAwesome vehicle. Runs and rides great. So far in the first 2,000 miles we have been averaging 26 miles per gallon. I would purchase another one with no question.

Horrible, nothing but problemsbought this 22 Pacifica in 6 of 2022. Before we drove off the lot we had issues with the stereo not connecting to Bluetooth and freezing. They noted this and we left. The stereo continued to freeze, glitch, lock us out of it with no rear climate control options. We took it to the dealer 3 times for this issue and finally after 10 days in the shop they determined it needed a new stereo. That was 10/2022. This still hasn’t been fixed. 8/2022 we took it in as the front doors were both sagging and had to go to the body shop to be realigned. 8/2022 sliding doors work 50% of the time. 8/2022 ceiling vent fell out hitting my daughter. 9/2022 noticed an annoying rattle in the dash, and back hatch began slamming when closing. The dealer couldn’t find the rattle and said they ordered the strut for the rear door as they believe it has failed. (Still not repaired) 9/2022 with about 7,000 miles I noticed a vibration in the brake pedal, almost like the rotors were warped. Took it in, tech couldn’t simulate the problem, told it was nothing. 1/23 the brakes got bad. Horrible vibration. I called the dealership to set up and appointment. When I got home from the grocery store my brakes were on FIRE! I had Chrysler tow it to the dealer. (13,000 miles) To add the last nail in the coffin, the dealer called me the next day and told me the vehicle was side swiped in the back lot. 🫣 As of 11/2022 I had an attorney start a lemon case against Chrysler, to this day 1/2023 they still haven’t responded. I am beyond frustrated. I can’t even put my family back into that vehicle. That’s a major safety concern, what does Chrysler do? Absolutely nothing.

Great vehicle, well designed and thought out.I bought the Pacifica Pinnacle. It is quiet, comfortable and a joy to drive, It is a large vehicle and I can get a lot of things inside including a 4x8 sheet of plywood and 6 people (not at the same time). Visibility is very good and the camera's do an excellent job. Everything works, controls are easy to reach and empirical and on a trip I averaged 26 mpg. Two negatives: idle stop is frustrating. (have to remember to turn it off every time you start the car). Vacuum cleaner in place of the spare is not a good idea and you have to run the engine when the vacuum is running. Guess it's Ok then, but not at stop signs. (idle-stop)
